Samuel 3:4-14

that Jehovah calledH7121 to SamuelH8050. And he saidH559, HereH2005 am I.

And he ranH7323 to EliH5941, and saidH559, HereH2005 am I; for thou calledst me. And he saidH559, I did not callH7121: lieH7901 down again. And he wentH7725 and layH7901 downH7901.

And Jehovah calledH7121 againH5750, SamuelH8050! And SamuelH8050 aroseH6965 and wentH7725 to EliH5941, and saidH559, HereH2005 am I; for thou calledst me. And he saidH559, I did not callH7121, my sonH1121: lieH7901 down againH5750.

Now SamuelH8050 did not yetH2962 knowH3045 Jehovah, neither had the wordH1697 of Jehovah yetH2962 been revealedH1540 to him.

And Jehovah calledH7121 again the thirdH7992 time, SamuelH8050! And he aroseH6965 and went to EliH5941, and saidH559, HereH2005 am I; for thou calledst me. And EliH5941 perceivedH995 that Jehovah was callingH7121 the boy.

And EliH5941 saidH559 to SamuelH8050, Go, lieH7901 down; and it shall beH1961, if he callH7121 thee, that thou shalt sayH559, SpeakH1696, Jehovah, for thy servantH5650 heareth. So SamuelH8050 went and layH7901 downH7901 in his placeH4725.

And Jehovah cameH935, and stoodH3320, and calledH7121 as at the other timesH6471, SamuelH8050, SamuelH8050! And SamuelH8050 saidH559, SpeakH1696, for thy servantH5650 heareth.

And Jehovah saidH559 to SamuelH8050, Behold, I do a thingH1697 in IsraelH3478, at which both the earsH241 of every one that heareth it shall tingleH6750.

In that dayH3117 I will perform against EliH5941 all that I have spokenH1696 concerningH413 his houseH1004; I will beginH2490 and make an endH3615.

For I have declaredH5046 to him that I will judgeH8199 his houseH1004 for everH5769, for the iniquityH5771 which he hath knownH3045: because his sonsH1121 madeH3045 themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

And thereforeH3651 I have swornH7650 unto the houseH1004 of EliH5941 that the iniquityH5771 of Eli's houseH1004 shall not be expiated with sacrificeH2077 or oblation for everH5769.
