Samuel 28:3-14

(Now SamuelH8050 was deadH4191, and all IsraelH3478 had lamentedH5594 him, and they had buriedH6912 him in RamahH7414, even in his own cityH5892. And SaulH7586 had putH4191 awayH5493 the necromancers and the soothsayers out of the landH776.)

And the PhilistinesH6430 gatheredH6908 themselves togetherH6908, and cameH935 and encampedH2583 in ShunemH7766; and SaulH7586 gatheredH6908 all IsraelH3478 togetherH6908, and they encampedH2583 in GilboaH1533.

And when SaulH7586 sawH7200 the campH4264 of the PhilistinesH6430, he was afraidH3372, and his heartH3820 greatly trembledH2729.

And SaulH7586 inquired of Jehovah; but Jehovah did not answerH6030 him, either by dreamsH2472, or by UrimH224, or by prophetsH5030.

Then saidH559 SaulH7586 to his servantsH5650, SeekH1245 me a womanH802 that has a spirit of Python, that I may go to her and inquire of her. And his servantsH5650 saidH559 to him, Behold, there is a womanH802 who has a spirit of Python at En-dorH5874.

And SaulH7586 disguisedH2664 himself, and putH3847 on otherH312 garmentsH899, and he wentH935, and twoH8147 menH376 with him, and they cameH935 to the womanH802 by nightH3915; and he saidH559, I pray thee, divineH7080 to me by the spirit of Python, and bringH935 me [him] up whom I shall name to thee.

And the womanH802 saidH559 to him, Behold, thou knowest what SaulH7586 has done, howH4100 he has cutH3772 off the necromancers and the soothsayers out of the landH776; and whyH4100 layest thou a snare for my lifeH5315, to cause me to dieH4191?

And SaulH7586 sworeH7650 unto her by Jehovah, sayingH559, [As] Jehovah liveth, there shall no punishmentH5771 happen to thee for this thingH1697.

Then saidH559 the womanH802, Whom shall I bringH5927 up to thee? And he saidH559, BringH5927 me up SamuelH8050.

And when the womanH802 sawH7200 SamuelH8050, she criedH2199 out with a loud voiceH6963; and the womanH802 spoke to SaulH7586, sayingH559, WhyH4100 hast thou deceived me? Even thou art SaulH7586.

And the kingH4428 saidH559 to her, Be not afraidH3372; but what didst thou seeH7200? And the womanH802 saidH559 to SaulH7586, I sawH7200 a 1godH430 ascending out of the earthH776.

And he saidH559 to her, What is his formH8389? And she saidH559, An oldH2205 manH376 comesH5927 up; and he is covered with a mantle. And SaulH7586 knewH3045 that it was SamuelH8050, and he stooped with his faceH639 to the groundH776, and bowedH7812 himself.
