Samuel 21:2-7
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to AhimelechH288 the priestH3548, The king has commanded me a business, and has saidH559 to me, Let no manH376 know anything of the business whereon I send thee, and what I have commanded thee; and I have directed the young menH376 to such and such a place.
And now what is under thy hand? give me five loaves in my hand, or what may be found.
And the priest answered David and said, There is no common breadH3899 under my handH3027, but there is holy breadH3899; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
And DavidH1732 answered the priestH3548 and saidH559 to him, Yes indeed, womenH802 have been keptH8104 from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the youngH5288 menH5288 are holyH6944, and the [breadH3899] is in a manner common, and the more so, because to-day [new] is hallowed in the vessels.
And the priestH3548 gave him holyH6944 [bread]; for there wasH1961 no bread there but the shew-loaves that wereH1961 taken from before Jehovah, to put on hot bread in the dayH3117 when they wereH1961 taken away.
(Now a certain man of the servants of Saul wasH1961 there that dayH3117, detained before Jehovah; and his name wasH1961 Doeg, the Edomite, chief of the shepherds that [belongedH1961] to Saul.)
