Samuel 1:10-17
and she was in bitternessH4751 of soulH5315, and prayedH6419 to Jehovah, and weptH1058 much.
And she vowedH5087 a vowH5088, and saidH559, O Jehovah of hostsH6635, if thou wilt indeed lookH7200 on the affliction of thy handmaid, and rememberH2142 me, and not forgetH7911 thy handmaid, but wilt giveH5414 unto thy handmaid a manH376 child, then I will giveH5414 him to Jehovah all the daysH3117 of his life, and there shall no razor comeH5927 upon his headH7218.
And it came to pass as she continued prayingH6419 before Jehovah, that EliH5941 marked her mouthH6310.
Now HannahH2584 spokeH1696 in her heartH3820; onlyH7535 her lipsH8193 moved, but her voiceH6963 was not heardH8085; and EliH5941 thought she was drunkenH7910.
And EliH5941 saidH559 to her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put awayH5493 thy wineH3196 from thee.
And HannahH2584 answered and saidH559, No, my lord, I am a womanH802 of a sorrowful spiritH7307: I have drunkH8354 neither wineH3196 nor strongH7941 drinkH8354, but have pouredH8210 out my soulH5315 before Jehovah.
Take not thy handmaid for a daughterH1323 of Belial: for out of the abundanceH7230 of my grief and provocation have I spokenH1696 hitherto.
And EliH5941 answered and saidH559, Go in peaceH7965; and the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478 grant thee thy petitionH7596 which thou hast askedH7592 of him.
