Matthew 9:1-17
1And he entered into a boatG4143, and crossed over, and cameG2064 into his ownG2398 cityG4172. 2And beholdG2400, they broughtG4374 to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bedG2825: and JesusG2424 seeingG3708 their faithG4102 saidG3004 unto the sick of the palsy, SonG5043, be of good cheer; thy sinsG266 are forgivenG863. 3And beholdG2400, certainG5100 of the scribesG1122 saidG3004 within themselves, This manG3778 blasphemeth. 4And JesusG2424 knowing their thoughtsG1761 saidG3004, Wherefore think ye evilG4190 in your heartsG2588? 5For which isG1510 easier, to sayG3004, Thy sinsG266 areG1510 forgivenG863; or to sayG3004, AriseG1453, and walkG4043? 6But that ye may know that the SonG5207 of manG444 hath authorityG1849 on earthG1093 to forgiveG863 sinsG266 (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), AriseG1453, and takeG142 up thy bedG2825, and goG5217 unto thy houseG3624. 7And he arose, and departedG565 to his houseG3624. 8But when the multitudesG3793 sawG3708 it, they were afraidG5399, and glorifiedG1392 GodG2316, who had givenG1325 suchG5108 authorityG1849 unto menG444.
9And as JesusG2424 passed by from thence, he sawG3708 a manG444, called MatthewG3156, sittingG2521 at the place of toll: and he saith unto him, FollowG190 me. And he aroseG450, and followedG190 him.
10And it cameG2064 to passG1096, as he sat at meat in the houseG3614, beholdG2400, manyG4183 publicans and sinnersG268 cameG2064 and sat down with JesusG2424 and his disciplesG3101. 11And when the PhariseesG5330 sawG3708 it, they saidG3004 unto his disciplesG3101, WhyG5101 eateth your TeacherG1320 with the publicans and sinnersG268? 12But when he heardG191 it, he saidG3004, They that are whole have no needG5532 of a physicianG2395, but they that are sickG2560. 13But goG4198 ye and learnG3129 what this meaneth, I desireG2309 mercyG1656, and not sacrificeG2378: for I cameG2064 not to callG2564 the righteousG1342, but sinnersG268.
14Then comeG4334 to him the disciplesG3101 of JohnG2491, sayingG3004, WhyG5101 do we and the PhariseesG5330 fastG3522 oft, but thy disciplesG3101 fastG3522 not? 15And JesusG2424 saidG3004 unto them, Can the sonsG5207 of the bridechamber mournG3996, as long as the bridegroomG3566 isG1510 with them? but the daysG2250 will comeG2064, whenG3752 the bridegroomG3566 shall beG1510 taken awayG522 from them, and then will they fastG3522. 16And no man putteth a pieceG1915 of undressed clothG4470 upon an oldG3820 garmentG2440; for that which should fill it up taketh from the garmentG2440, and a worse rent is made. 17Neither do men putG906 newG2537 wineG3631 into oldG3820 wine-skins: else the skins burstG4486, and the wineG3631 is spilled, and the skins perishG622: but they putG906 newG2537 wineG3631 into fresh wine-skins, and both are preserved.
