Genesis 31:17-35

17Then JacobH3290 roseH6965 up, and setH6965 his sonsH1121 and his wivesH802 upon the camelsH1581; 18and he carried away all his cattle, and all his substance which he had gathered, the cattle of his getting, which he had gathered in Paddan-aram, to goH935 to IsaacH3327 his fatherH1 unto the landH776 of CanaanH3667. 19Now LabanH3837 was goneH1980 to shearH1494 his sheepH6629: and RachelH7354 stoleH1589 the teraphimH8655 that were her father’sH1. 20And JacobH3290 stoleH1589 awayH1272 unawares to LabanH3837 the Syrian, in that he toldH5046 him not that he fledH1272. 21So he fledH1272 with all that he had; and he roseH6965 up, and passedH5674 over the RiverH5104, and setH7760 his faceH6440 toward the mountainH2022 of GileadH1568.

22And it was toldH5046 LabanH3837 on the thirdH7992 dayH3117 that JacobH3290 was fledH1272. 23And he tookH3947 his brethren with him, and pursuedH7291 after him sevenH7651 days’H3117 journeyH1870; and he overtook him in the mountainH2022 of GileadH1568. 24And GodH430 cameH935 to LabanH3837 the Syrian in a dreamH2472 of the nightH3915, and saidH559 unto him, TakeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself that thou speakH1696 not to JacobH3290 either goodH2896 or badH7451. 25And LabanH3837 came up with JacobH3290. Now JacobH3290 had pitchedH8628 his tentH168 in the mountainH2022: and LabanH3837 with his brethren encamped in the mountainH2022 of GileadH1568. 26And LabanH3837 saidH559 to JacobH3290, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolenH1589 away unawares to me, and carried away my daughtersH1323 as captivesH7617 of the swordH2719? 27Wherefore didst thou fleeH1272 secretly, and stealH1589 awayH7971 from me, and didst not tellH5046 me, that I might have sentH7971 thee awayH7971 with mirth and with songsH7892, with tabret and with harpH3658; 28and didst not suffer me to kiss my sonsH1121 and my daughtersH1323? nowH6258 hast thou done foolishlyH5528. 29It is in the power of my handH3027 to do you hurt: but the GodH430 of your fatherH1 spake unto me yesternight, sayingH559, TakeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself that thou speakH1696 not to JacobH3290 either goodH2896 or badH7451. 30And nowH6258, though thou wouldest needs be goneH1980, because thou sore longedst after thy father’sH1 houseH1004, yet wherefore hast thou stolenH1589 my godsH430? 31And JacobH3290 answered and saidH559 to LabanH3837, Because I was afraidH3372: for I saidH559, LestH6435 thou shouldest take thy daughtersH1323 from me by force. 32With whomsoever thou findest thy godsH430, he shall not liveH2421: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and takeH3947 it to thee. For JacobH3290 knewH3045 not that RachelH7354 had stolenH1589 them.

33And LabanH3837 wentH3318 into Jacob’s tentH168, and into Leah’s tentH168, and into the tentH168 of the twoH8147 maid-servants; but he foundH4672 them not. And he wentH3318 out of Leah’s tentH168, and entered into Rachel’s tentH168. 34Now RachelH7354 had takenH3947 the teraphimH8655, and putH7760 them in the camel’sH1581 saddle, and satH3427 upon them. And LabanH3837 feltH4959 about all the tentH168, but foundH4672 them not. 35And she saidH559 to her fatherH1, Let not my lordH113 be angryH2734 that I cannot riseH6965 up before thee; for the manner of womenH802 is upon me. And he searchedH2664, but foundH4672 not the teraphimH8655.
