Acts 14:12-28
12And they calledG2564 BarnabasG921, Jupiter; and PaulG3972, Mercury, because he wasG1510 the chief speaker. 13And the priestG2409 of Jupiter whose temple wasG1510 before the cityG4172, broughtG5342 oxenG5022 and garlands unto the gatesG4440, and wouldG2309 have done sacrificeG2380 with the multitudesG3793. 14But when the apostlesG652, BarnabasG921 and PaulG3972, heardG191 of it, they rent their garmentsG2440, and sprang forth among the multitudeG3793, cryingG2896 out 15and sayingG3004, Sirs, whyG5101 do ye these thingsG3778? We alsoG2532 areG1510 menG444 of like passions with you, and bring you good tidings, that ye should turnG1994 from these vain thingsG3778 unto a livingG2198 GodG2316, who madeG4160 the heavenG3772 and the earthG1093 and the seaG2281, and all that in them isG1510: 16who in the generationsG1074 goneG4198 by suffered all the nationsG1484 to walk in their own waysG3598. 17And yet he leftG863 not himself without witness, in that he did goodG14 and gaveG1325 you from heavenG3771 rainsG5205 and fruitful seasonsG2540, filling your heartsG2588 with foodG5160 and gladness. 18And with these sayings scarce restrained they the multitudesG3793 from doing sacrificeG2380 unto them.
19But there cameG1904 JewsG2453 thither from AntiochG490 and IconiumG2430: and having persuadedG3982 the multitudesG3793, they stonedG3034 PaulG3972, and dragged him out of the cityG4172, supposing that he was dead. 20But as the disciplesG3101 stoodG450 round about him, he roseG450 up, and enteredG1525 into the cityG4172: and on the morrow he wentG1831 forthG1831 with BarnabasG921 to DerbeG1191. 21And when they had preached the gospel to that cityG4172, and had made manyG2425 disciples, they returnedG5290 to LystraG3082, and to IconiumG2430, and to AntiochG490, 22confirming the soulsG5590 of the disciplesG3101, exhortingG3870 them to continueG1696 in the faithG4102, and that through manyG4183 tribulationsG2347 we must enterG1525 into the kingdomG932 of GodG2316. 23And when they had appointed for them eldersG4245 in every churchG1577, and had prayedG4336 with fasting, they commended them to the LordG2962, on whom they had believedG4100. 24And they passedG1330 through PisidiaG4099, and cameG2064 to PamphyliaG3828. 25And when they had spokenG2980 the wordG3056 in PergaG4011, they wentG2597 downG2597 to Attalia; 26and thence they sailedG636 to AntiochG490, from whence they had beenG1510 committed to the graceG5485 of GodG2316 for the workG2041 which they had fulfilled. 27And when they were comeG3854, and had gatheredG4863 the churchG1577 togetherG4863, they rehearsed all things that GodG2316 had done with them, and that he had openedG455 a doorG2374 of faithG4102 unto the GentilesG1484. 28And they tarried no littleG3641 timeG5550 with the disciplesG3101.
