Matthew 21:33-46
33“ListenG191 to anotherG243 parableG3850. 1There was a 2landownerG3617 whoG3748 3plantedG5452 a 4vineyardG290 and putG4060 a 5fenceG5418 aroundG4060 it, and dugG3736 a wineG3025 pressG3025 in it, and builtG3618 a towerG4444, and he leasedG1554 it to 6vine-growersG1092 and 7wentG589 onG589 aG589 journeyG589. 34And whenG3753 the 8harvestG2590 timeG2540 approachedG1448, he 9sentG649 his slavesG1401 to the vine-growersG1092 to receiveG2983 his fruitG2590. 35And the vine-growersG1092 tookG2983 his slavesG1401 and beatG1194 oneG3739, killedG615 anotherG3739G1161, and stonedG3036 anotherG3739. 36AgainG3825, he 10sentG649 otherG243 slavesG1401, moreG4183 than the firstG4413; and they didG4160 the sameG5615 thingsG5615 to them. 37But afterwardG5305 he sentG649 his sonG5207 to them, sayingG3004, ‘They will respectG1788 my sonG5207.’ 38But when the vine-growersG1092 sawG3708 the sonG5207, they saidG3004 amongG1722 themselvesG1438, ‘ThisG3778 is the heirG2818; comeG1205, let’s killG615 him and takeG2192 possessionG2192 of his inheritanceG2817!’ 39And they tookG2983 him and threwG1544 him outG1544 of the vineyardG290, and killedG615 him. 40ThereforeG3767, whenG3752 the 11ownerG2962 of the vineyardG290 comesG2064, whatG5101 will he doG4160 to thoseG1565 vine-growersG1092?” 41They saidG3004 to Him, “He will bringG622 thoseG846 wretchesG2556 to a wretchedG2560 endG622 and 12leaseG1554 the vineyardG290 to otherG243 vine-growersG1092, whoG3748 will payG591 him the fruitG2590 in the proper seasonsG2540.”
42JesusG2424 saidG3004 to them, “Did you neverG3763 readG314 in the ScripturesG1124, ‘13A stoneG3037 whichG3739 the buildersG3618 rejectedG593, ThisG3778 has becomeG1096 the 14chiefG2776 cornerstoneG1137; ThisG3778 cameG1096 about from the LordG2962, And it is marvelousG2298 in our eyesG3788’? 43ThereforeG1223G3778 I sayG3004 to you, the kingdomG932 of GodG2316 will be takenG142 awayG142 from you and givenG1325 to a 15peopleG1484 producingG4160 its fruitG2590. 44And 16the one who fallsG4098 on thisG3778 stoneG3037 will be brokenG4917 toG4917 piecesG4917; and on whomeverG3739G302 it fallsG4098, it will crushG3039 him.”
45When the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the PhariseesG5330 heardG191 His parablesG3850, they understoodG1097 that He was speakingG3004 aboutG4012 them. 46And although they soughtG2212 to arrestG2902 Him, they 17fearedG5399 the crowdsG3793, sinceG1893 they consideredG2192 Him to be a 18prophetG4396.
