John 7:28-53

28ThenG3767 JesusG2424 criedG2896 outG2896 in the templeG2413, 1teachingG1321 and sayingG3004, “2You bothG2532 knowG3609 Me and you knowG3609 whereG4159 I amG1510 from; and 3I have not comeG2064 of MyselfG1683, but He who sentG3992 Me is trueG228, whomG3739 you do not knowG3609. 29 4I do knowG3609 Him, becauseG3754 5I amG1510 from Him, and 6He sentG649 Me.” 30SoG3767 they 7were seekingG2212 to arrestG4084 Him; and yet noG3762 oneG3762 laidG1911 a handG5495 on Him, becauseG3754 His 8hourG5610 had not yetG3768 comeG2064. 31But 9manyG4183 of the crowdG3793 believedG4100 in Him; and they were sayingG3004, “10WhenG3752 the 11ChristG5547 comesG2064, He will not performG2038 moreG4183 12 13signsG4592 than those whichG3739 thisG3778 manG3778 has doneG2038, will He?”

32The PhariseesG5330 heardG191 the crowdG3793 whisperingG1111 theseG3778 thingsG3778 aboutG4012 Him, and the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the PhariseesG5330 sentG649 14officersG5257 to 15arrestG4084 Him. 33ThereforeG3767 JesusG2424 saidG3004, “16For a littleG3398 whileG5550 longerG2089 I amG1510 going to be with you, and then 17I am goingG5217 to Him who sentG3992 Me. 34 18You will seekG2212 Me, and will not findG2147 Me; and whereG3699 I amG1510, you cannotG1410 G3756 comeG2064.” 35 19The JewsG2453 thenG3767 saidG3004 to oneG1438 anotherG1438, “20WhereG4226 does thisG3778 ManG3778 intendG3195 to goG4198 that we will not findG2147 Him? He does not intendG3195 to goG4198 to 21the DispersionG1290 among 22the GreeksG1672, and teachG1321 the GreeksG1672, does He? 36WhatG5101 is thisG3778 statementG3056 that He saidG3004, ‘23You will seekG2212 Me, and will not findG2147 Me; and whereG3699 I amG1510, you cannotG1410 G3756 comeG2064’?”

37NowG1161 on 24the lastG2078 dayG2250, the greatG3173 day of the feastG1859, JesusG2424 stoodG2476 and criedG2896 outG2896, sayingG3004, “25IfG1437 anyoneG5100 isG1372 thirstyG1372, 26let him comeG2064 to Me and drinkG4095. 38The one who believesG4100 in Me, 27as the ScriptureG1124 saidG3004, ‘28From his innermostG2836 beingG2836 will flowG4482 riversG4215 of 29livingG2198 waterG5204.’” 39But thisG3778 He saidG3004 30inG4012 referenceG4012 toG4012 the SpiritG4151, whomG3739 thoseG3588 who believedG4100 in Him were to receiveG2983; for 31the SpiritG4151 was not yetG3768 given, becauseG3754 JesusG2424 was not yetG3764 32glorifiedG1392.

40Some of the peopleG3793 thereforeG3767, after they heardG191 theseG3778 wordsG3056, were sayingG3004, “ThisG3778 trulyG230 is 33the ProphetG4396.” 41OthersG243 were sayingG3004, “ThisG3778 is the 34ChristG5547.” But othersG3588 were sayingG3004, “35SurelyG1063 G3361 the 36ChristG5547 is not comingG2064 from GalileeG1056, is He? 42Has the ScriptureG1124 not saidG3004 that the ChristG5547 comesG2064 from 37the descendantsG4690 of DavidG1160, and from BethlehemG965, the villageG2968 whereG3699 DavidG1160 was?” 43SoG3767 38a dissensionG4978 occurredG1096 in the crowdG3793 becauseG1223 of Him. 44And 39someG5100 of them wantedG2309 to arrestG4084 Him, but noG3762 oneG3762 laidG1911 handsG5495 on Him.

45The 40officersG5257 thenG3767 cameG2064 to the chiefG749 priestsG749 and PhariseesG5330, and they saidG3004 to them, “WhyG1223 G5101 did you not bringG71 Him?” 46The 41officersG5257 answeredG611, “42NeverG3763 has a manG444 spokenG2980 inG3779 thisG3779 wayG3779!” 47The PhariseesG5330 thenG3767 repliedG611 to them, “43You have not been ledG4105 astrayG4105 tooG2532, have you? 48 44Not oneG5100 of 45the rulersG758 orG2228 PhariseesG5330 has believedG4100 in Him, has he? 49But thisG3778 crowdG3793 that does not knowG1097 the LawG3551 is accursedG1884!” 50 46NicodemusG3530 (the one who cameG2064 to Him beforeG4387, beingG1510 oneG1520 of them) saidG3004 to them, 51“47Our LawG3551 does not judgeG2919 the personG444 unlessG1437 G3361 it firstG4413 hearsG191 from him and knowsG1097 whatG5101 he is doingG4160, does it?” 52They answeredG611 and saidG3004 to him, “48You are not from GalileeG1056 asG2532 wellG2532, are you? ExamineG2038 the Scriptures, and seeG3708 that noG3756 prophetG4396 arisesG1453 out of GalileeG1056.” 53[[49And everyoneG1538 wentG4198 to his homeG3624.
