1Nowwhen Kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396heardכִּשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙kish.Mo.a'H8085the report,he toreוַיִּקְרַ֖עvai.yik.Ra'H7167his clothesבְּגָדָ֑יוbe.ga.DavH899,coveredוַיִּתְכַּ֣סvai.yit.KasH3680himself with sackclothבַּשָּׂ֔קba.SakH8242,and enteredוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

2Then he sentוַ֠יִּשְׁלַחVai.yish.lachH7971Eliakimאֶלְיָקִ֨ים'el.ya.KimH471,whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834was inH5921chargeH5921ofH5921the householdהַבַּ֜יִתha.Ba.yitH1004, withShebnaשֶׁבְנָ֣אshev.Na'H7644the scribeH5613and the eldersזִקְנֵ֣יzik.NeiH2205of the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֔יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548,coveredמִתְכַּסִּ֖יםmit.ka.SimH3680with sackclothבַּשַּׂקִּ֑יםba.sa.KimH8242, toIsaiahיְשַֽׁעְיָ֥הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470the prophetהַנָּבִֽיא׃ha.na.Vi'H5030,the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Amozאָמ֖וֹץ'a.MotzH531.

3And they saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559to him, “ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘Thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088dayיוֹם־yom-H3117is adayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117of distressצָרָ֧הtza.RahH6869,rebukeוְתוֹכֵחָ֛הve.to.khe.ChahH8433,and humiliationוּנְאָצָ֖הu.ne.'a.TzahH5007; forchildrenבָנִים֙va.NimH1121have comeבָ֤אוּVa.'uH935to the pointH4866ofH4866birthמַשְׁבֵּ֔רmash.BerH4866,and thereH369isH369noH369strengthוְכֹ֥חַve.Kho.achH3581todeliverלְלֵדָֽה׃le.le.DahH3205them.

4Perhapsאוּלַ֡י'u.LaiH194the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will hearיִשְׁמַע֩yish.Ma'H8085the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of RabshakehH7262,whomאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834his masterאֲדֹנָיו֙'a.do.NavH113the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֤וּר׀'a.ShurH804has sentשְׁלָח֨וֹshe.la.ChoH7971totauntלְחָרֵף֙le.cha.RefH2778the livingחַ֔יChaiH2416Godאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,and will avengeוְהוֹכִ֙יחַ֙ve.ho.Khi.achH3198the wordsבַּדְּבָרִ֔יםba.de.va.RimH1697whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430has heardשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085.Therefore, offerוְנָשָׂ֣אתָve.na.Sa.taH5375a prayerתְפִלָּ֔הte.fi.LahH8605forthe remnantהַשְּׁאֵרִ֖יתha.she.'e.RitH7611that is leftהַנִּמְצָאָֽה׃ha.nim.tza.'AhH4672.’”

5So the servantsעַבְדֵ֛י'av.DeiH5650of Kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396cameוַיָּבֹ֗אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Isaiahיְשַׁעְיָֽהוּ׃ye.sha'.Ya.huH3470.

6And Isaiahיְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541you shall sayתֹאמְר֖וּןtom.RunH559to your masterאֲדֹנֵיכֶ֑ם'a.do.nei.KhemH113: ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Do not beH3372afraidתִּירָא֙ti.Ra'H3372becauseמִפְּנֵ֤יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440of the wordsהַדְּבָרִים֙ha.de.va.RimH1697that you have heardשָׁמַ֔עְתָּsha.Ma'.taH8085,with whichH834the servantsנַעֲרֵ֥יna.'a.ReiH5288of the kingמֶלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804have blasphemedגִּדְּפ֛וּgi.de.FuH1442Me.

7BeholdH2009,I am going to putנוֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414a spiritר֔וּחַRu.achH7307in him so that he willhearוְשָׁמַ֥עve.sha.Ma'H8085newsשְׁמוּעָ֖הshe.mu.'AhH8052andreturnוְשָׁ֣בve.ShavH7725to his own landאַרְצ֑וֹ'ar.TzoH776.And I will make him fallוְהִפַּלְתִּ֥יוve.hi.pal.TivH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֖רֶבba.Che.revH2719in his own landבְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃be.'ar.TzoH776.”’”
