1Onוַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961hearingכִּשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙kish.Mo.a'H8085this report,Kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396toreוַיִּקְרַ֖עvai.yik.Ra'H7167אֶת־'et-H853his clothesבְּגָדָ֑יוbe.ga.DavH899,put onוַיִּתְכַּ֣סvai.yit.KasH3680sackclothבַּשָּׂ֔קba.SakH8242,and enteredוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

2And he sentוַ֠יִּשְׁלַחVai.yish.lachH7971אֶת־'et-H853Eliakimאֶלְיָקִ֨ים'el.ya.KimH471the palaceהַבַּ֜יִתha.Ba.yitH1004administratorאֲשֶׁר־ עַל־'a.Sher- 'al-H834 H5921וְאֵ֣ת׀ve.'EtH853,Shebnaשֶׁבְנָ֣אshev.Na'H7644the scribeהַסּוֹפֵ֗רha.so.FerH5608וְאֵת֙ve.'EtH853,and the leadingזִקְנֵ֣יzik.NeiH2205priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֔יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548,all wearingמִתְכַּסִּ֖יםmit.ka.SimH3680sackclothבַּשַּׂקִּ֑יםba.sa.KimH8242,toאֶל־'el-H413the prophetהַנָּבִֽיא׃ha.na.Vi'H5030Isaiahיְשַֽׁעְיָ֥הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Amozאָמ֖וֹץ'a.MotzH531

3to tellוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559himאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413, “This is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:Todayיוֹם־ הַזֶּ֑הyom- ha.ZehH3117 H2088is a dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117of distressצָרָ֧הtza.RahH6869,rebukeוְתוֹכֵחָ֛הve.to.khe.ChahH8433,and disgraceוּנְאָצָ֖הu.ne.'a.TzahH5007;forכִּ֣יkiH3588childrenבָנִים֙va.NimH1121have comeבָ֤אוּVa.'uH935to the point ofעַד־'ad-H5704birthמַשְׁבֵּ֔רmash.BerH4866,but there is noאַ֖יִן'A.yinH369strengthוְכֹ֥חַve.Kho.achH3581to deliver themלְלֵדָֽה׃le.le.DahH3205.

4Perhapsאוּלַ֡י'u.LaiH194the LORDיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430אֵ֣ת׀'etH853will hearיִשְׁמַע֩yish.Ma'H8085the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of the RabshakehH7262,whomאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834his masterאֲדֹנָיו֙'a.do.NavH113the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֤וּר׀'a.ShurH804has sentשְׁלָח֨וֹshe.la.ChoH7971to defyלְחָרֵף֙le.cha.RefH2778the livingחַ֔יChaiH2416Godאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,and He will rebuke himוְהוֹכִ֙יחַ֙ve.ho.Khi.achH3198for the wordsבַּדְּבָרִ֔יםba.de.va.RimH1697thatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430has heardשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085.Therefore lift upוְנָשָׂ֣אתָve.na.Sa.taH5375a prayerתְפִלָּ֔הte.fi.LahH8605forבְּעַ֥דbe.'AdH1157the remnantהַשְּׁאֵרִ֖יתha.she.'e.RitH7611that still survivesהַנִּמְצָאָֽה׃ha.nim.tza.'AhH4672.”

5So the servantsעַבְדֵ֛י'av.DeiH5650of Kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396wentוַיָּבֹ֗אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935toאֶל־'el-H413Isaiahיְשַׁעְיָֽהוּ׃ye.sha'.Ya.huH3470,

6whoיְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470repliedוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֲלֵיהֶם֙'a.lei.HemH413כֹּ֥הkohH3541, “Tellתֹאמְר֖וּן אֶל־tom.Run 'el-H559 H413your masterאֲדֹנֵיכֶ֑ם'a.do.nei.KhemH113that this is whatכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘Do notאַל־'al-H408be afraidתִּירָא֙ti.Ra'H3372ofמִפְּנֵ֤יmi.pe.NeiH6440the wordsהַדְּבָרִים֙ha.de.va.RimH1697you have heardשָׁמַ֔עְתָּsha.Ma'.taH8085אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834,with whichאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834the servantsנַעֲרֵ֥יna.'a.ReiH5288of the kingמֶלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804אוֹתִֽי׃'o.TiH853have blasphemed Meגִּדְּפ֛וּgi.de.FuH1442.

7Beholdהִנְנִ֨יhi.NiH2005,I will putנוֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414a spiritר֔וּחַRu.achH7307in himso that he will hearוְשָׁמַ֥עve.sha.Ma'H8085a rumorשְׁמוּעָ֖הshe.mu.'AhH8052and returnוְשָׁ֣בve.ShavH7725toאֶל־'el-H413his own landאַרְצ֑וֹ'ar.TzoH776,whereבְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃be.'ar.TzoH776I will cause him to fallוְהִפַּלְתִּ֥יוve.hi.pal.TivH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֖רֶבba.Che.revH2719.’”
