14Thereforeלָכֵ֛ןla.KhenH3651,hearשִׁמְע֥וּshim.'UH8085the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068, youscoffersאַנְשֵׁ֣י לָצ֑וֹן'an.Shei la.TzonH582 H3944,Who ruleמֹֽשְׁלֵי֙mo.she.LeiH4910thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971whoאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834are in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.ru.sha.LimH3389,

15Becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588you have saidאֲמַרְתֶּ֗ם'a.mar.TemH559, “We have madeכָּרַ֤תְנֽוּka.Rat.nuH3772acovenantבְרִית֙ve.RitH1285with deathמָ֔וֶתMa.vetH4194, And withSheolשְׁא֖וֹלshe.'olH7585we have madeעָשִׂ֣ינוּ'a.Si.nuH6213apactחֹזֶ֑הcho.ZehH2374. Thegushingשׁוֹטֵ֤ףsho.TefH7857floodשׁ֣וֹטshitH7752will not reachיְבוֹאֵ֔נוּye.vo.'E.nuH935us whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588it passesיַֽעֲבֹר֙a.varH5674byH5674,Becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588we have madeשַׂ֧מְנוּSam.nuH7760falsehoodכָזָ֛בkha.ZavH3577our refugeמַחְסֵ֖נוּmach.Se.nuH4268and we haveconcealedנִסְתָּֽרְנוּ׃ סnis.Ta.re.nuH5641ourselves with deceptionוּבַשֶּׁ֥קֶרu.va.She.kerH8267.”

16Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009,I am layingH3245a stoneאָ֑בֶן'A.venH68in Zionבְּצִיּ֖וֹןbe.tzi.YonH6726,a testedבֹּ֜חַןBo.chanH976stoneאֶ֣בֶן'E.venH68,A preciousיִקְרַת֙yik.RatH3368cornerstoneפִּנַּ֤תpi.NatH6438forthe foundationמוּסָ֣דmu.SadH4143,firmlyH3245placedH3245.The one who believesהַֽמַּאֲמִ֖יןha.ma.'a.MinH539in it will not bedisturbedיָחִֽישׁ׃ya.ChishH2363.

17I will makeוְשַׂמְתִּ֤יve.sam.TiH7760justiceמִשְׁפָּט֙mish.PatH4941the measuringH6957lineH6957And righteousnessוּצְדָקָ֖הu.tze.da.KahH6666the levelלְמִשְׁקָ֑לֶתle.mish.Ka.letH4949; Thenhailבָרָד֙va.RadH1259will sweepH3261awayH3261the refugeמַחְסֵ֣הmach.SehH4268of liesכָזָ֔בkha.ZavH3577,And the watersמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325will overflowיִשְׁטֹֽפוּ׃yish.To.fuH7857the secretH5643placeH5643.

18Yourcovenantבְּרִֽיתְכֶם֙be.ri.te.KhemH1285with deathמָ֔וֶתMa.vetH4194will becanceledוְכֻפַּ֤רve.khu.ParH3722,And your pactH2374with Sheolשְׁא֖וֹלshe.'olH7585will not standתָק֑וּםta.KumH6965;Whenכִּ֣יkiH3588thegushingשׁוֹטֵף֙sho.TefH7857floodשׁ֤וֹטShotH7752passesיַֽעֲבֹ֔רya.'a.VorH5674throughH5674,Then you will becomeוִהְיִ֥יתֶםvih.Yi.temH1961itstramplingלְמִרְמָֽס׃le.mir.MasH4823ground.

19Asoftenמִדֵּ֤יmi.DeiH1767as it passesH5674throughH5674, it willseizeיִקַּ֣חyi.KachH3947you; Formorningבַבֹּ֧קֶרva.Bo.kerH1242after morningבַּבֹּ֛קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242it will passH5674throughH5674, anytimeduring the dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117or nightוּבַלָּ֑יְלָהu.va.La.ye.lahH3915, And it will besheerH7534terrorזְוָעָ֖הze.va.'AhH2113to understandהָבִ֥יןha.VinH995whatH8052itH8047meansH8052.”

20The bedהַמַּצָּ֖עha.ma.Tza'H4702is tooH4480shortקָצַ֥רka.TzarH7114on which to stretchמֵֽהִשְׂתָּרֵ֑עַme.his.ta.Re.a'H8311out, And theblanketוְהַמַּסֵּכָ֥הve.ham.ma.se.KhahH4541isH6887tooH6887smallH6887to wrapכְּהִתְכַּנֵּֽס׃ke.hit.ka.NesH3664oneself in.

21For the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will riseH6965upH6965as atMountכְהַר־khe.har-H2022Perazimפְּרָצִים֙pe.ra.TzimH6559,He will be stirredH7264upH7264as in the Valleyכְּעֵ֖מֶקke.'E.mekH6010ofGibeonבְּגִבְע֣וֹןbe.giv.'onH1391,To doלַעֲשׂ֤וֹתla.'a.SotH6213Histaskמַעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ma.'a.Se.huH4639, Hisunusualזָ֣רzarH2114taskמַעֲשֵׂ֔הוּma.'a.Se.huH4639,And to workוְלַֽעֲבֹד֙ve.la.'a.VodH5647His workעֲבֹ֣דָת֔וֹa.Vo.da.ToH5656, Hisextraordinaryנָכְרִיָּ֖הna.khe.ri.YahH5237workעֲבֹדָתֽוֹ׃a.vo.da.ToH5656.
