Consecration of the Priests

3And you shall putוְנָתַתָּ֤ve.na.ta.TaH5414them in oneאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259basketסַ֣לsalH5536,and presentוְהִקְרַבְתָּ֥ve.hik.rav.TaH7126them in the basketבַּסָּ֑לba.SalH5536along with the bullהַפָּ֔רha.ParH6499and the twoשְׁנֵ֥יshe.NeiH8147ramsהָאֵילִֽם׃ha.'ei.LimH352.

4Thenyou shall bringתַּקְרִ֔יבtak.RivH7126Aaronאַהֲרֹ֤ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsבָּנָיו֙ba.NavH1121to the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150and washוְרָחַצְתָּ֥ve.ra.chatz.TaH7364them with waterבַּמָּֽיִם׃ba.Ma.yimH4325.

5And you shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֣ve.la.kach.TaH3947the garmentsהַבְּגָדִ֗יםha.be.ga.DimH899,and putH3847onH3847Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙'a.ha.RonH175thetunicהַכֻּתֹּ֔נֶתha.ku.To.netH3801andthe robeמְעִ֣ילme.'IlH4598of the ephodהָאֵפֹ֔דha.'e.FodH646, andthe ephodהָאֵפֹ֖דha.'e.FodH646and thebreastpieceהַחֹ֑שֶׁןha.Cho.shenH2833,and wrapH640his waistH640with the skillfullyH2805wovenH2805bandH2805of the ephodהָאֵפֹֽד׃ha.'e.FodH646;

6and you shall setוְשַׂמְתָּ֥ve.sam.TaH7760theturbanהַמִּצְנֶ֖פֶתha.mitz.Ne.fetH4701on his headרֹאשׁ֑וֹro.ShoH7218and putוְנָתַתָּ֛ve.na.ta.TaH5414the holyהַקֹּ֖דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944crownנֵ֥זֶרNe.zerH5145on the turbanהַמִּצְנָֽפֶת׃ha.mitz.Na.fetH4701.

7Then you shall takeוְלָֽקַחְתָּ֙ve.la.kach.TaH3947the anointingהַמִּשְׁחָ֔הha.mish.ChahH4888oilשֶׁ֣מֶןShe.menH8081and pourוְיָצַקְתָּ֖ve.ya.tzak.TaH3332it on his headרֹאשׁ֑וֹro.ShoH7218,and anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּ֖u.ma.shach.TaH4886him.

8You shall also bringתַּקְרִ֑יבtak.RivH7126his sonsבָּנָ֖יוba.NavH1121and putH3847tunicsכֻּתֳּנֹֽת׃ku.to.NotH3801onH3847them.

9And you shall wrapH2296their waistsH2296withsashesאַבְנֵ֜ט'av.NetH73,Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּבָנָ֗יוu.va.NavH1121,and fitוְחָבַשְׁתָּ֤ve.cha.vash.TaH2280capsמִגְבָּעֹ֔תmig.ba.'OtH4021on them, and they shall haveוְהָיְתָ֥הve.ha.ye.TahH1961the priesthoodכְּהֻנָּ֖הke.hu.NahH3550by a permanentעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769statuteלְחֻקַּ֣תle.chu.KatH2708. So you shallordainוּמִלֵּאתָ֥u.mi.le.TaH4390 H3027Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsבָּנָֽיו׃ba.NavH1121.

The Sacrifices

10“Then you shall bringוְהִקְרַבְתָּ֙ve.hik.rav.TaH7126the bullהַפָּ֔רha.ParH6499in frontלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150,and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֧ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּבָנָ֛יוu.va.NavH1121shalllayוְסָמַ֨ךְve.sa.MakhH5564their handsיְדֵיהֶ֖םye.dei.HemH3027on the headרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of the bullהַפָּֽר׃ha.ParH6499.

11And you shall slaughterוְשָׁחַטְתָּ֥ve.sha.cha.TaH7819the bullהַפָּ֖רha.ParH6499beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068at the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵֽד׃mo.'EdH4150.

12Then you shalltakeוְלָֽקַחְתָּ֙ve.la.kach.TaH3947someH4480of the bloodמִדַּ֣םmi.DamH1818of the bullהַפָּ֔רha.ParH6499and putוְנָתַתָּ֛הve.na.ta.TahH5414it onthe hornsקַרְנֹ֥תkar.NotH7161of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196with your fingerבְּאֶצְבָּעֶ֑ךָbe.'etz.ba.'E.khaH676;and you shall pourתִּשְׁפֹּ֔ךְtish.PokhH8210outH8210allכָּל־kol-H3605the rest ofthe bloodהַדָּ֣םha.DamH1818at the baseיְס֖וֹדye.SodH3247of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ha.miz.Be.achH4196.

13And you shalltakeוְלָֽקַחְתָּ֗ve.la.kach.TaH3947allכָּל־kol-H3605the fatהַחֵלֶב֮ha.che.LevH2459that coversהַֽמְכַסֶּ֣הham.kha.SehH3680the entrailsהַקֶּרֶב֒ha.ke.RevH7130, and thelobeהַיֹּתֶ֙רֶת֙hai.yo.Te.retH3508of the liverהַכָּבֵ֔דha.ka.VedH3516,and the twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147kidneysהַכְּלָיֹ֔תha.ke.la.YotH3629and the fatהַחֵ֖לֶבha.Che.levH2459that is on them, and offerH6999them upH6999inH6999smokeוְהִקְטַרְתָּ֖ve.hik.tar.TaH6999on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחָה׃ha.miz.Be.chahH4196.

14Butthe fleshבְּשַׂ֤רbe.SarH1320of the bullהַפָּר֙ha.ParH6499and its hideעֹר֣וֹo.RoH5785and its refuseפִּרְשׁ֔וֹpir.ShoH6569,you shall burnתִּשְׂרֹ֣ףtis.RofH8313with fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑הla.ma.cha.NehH4264;it is a sinחַטָּ֖אתcha.TatH2403offeringH2403.

15“You shall also takeתִּקָּ֑חti.KachH3947the oneהָאֶחָ֖דha.'e.ChadH259ramהָאַ֥יִלha.'A.yilH352,and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֧ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּבָנָ֛יוu.va.NavH1121shall layוְסָ֨מְכ֜וּve.Sa.me.KhuH5564their handsיְדֵיהֶ֖םye.dei.HemH3027on the headרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of the ramהָאָֽיִל׃ha.'A.yilH352;

16and you shall slaughterוְשָׁחַטְתָּ֖ve.sha.cha.TaH7819the ramהָאָ֑יִלha.'A.yilH352and takeוְלָֽקַחְתָּ֙ve.la.kach.TaH3947its bloodדָּמ֔וֹda.MoH1818and sprinkleוְזָרַקְתָּ֥ve.za.rak.TaH2236it aroundסָבִֽיב׃sa.VivH5439on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196.

17Then you shall cutתְּנַתֵּ֖חַte.na.Te.achH5408the ramהָאַ֔יִלha.'A.yilH352into its piecesלִנְתָחָ֑יוlin.ta.ChavH5409,and washוְרָחַצְתָּ֤ve.ra.chatz.TaH7364its entrailsקִרְבּוֹ֙kir.BoH7130and its legsוּכְרָעָ֔יוu.khe.ra.'AvH3767,and putוְנָתַתָּ֥ve.na.ta.TaH5414themwith its piecesנְתָחָ֖יוne.ta.ChavH5409andits headרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ro.ShoH7218.

18And you shall offerH6999upH6999inH6999smokeוְהִקְטַרְתָּ֤ve.hik.tar.TaH6999the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605ramהָאַ֙יִל֙ha.'A.yilH352on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָהha.miz.Be.chahH4196;it is a burntעֹלָ֥ה'o.LahH5930offeringH5930to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068:it is a soothingנִיח֔וֹחַni.Cho.achH5207aromaרֵ֣יחַRei.achH7381,an offeringאִשֶּׁ֥ה'i.ShehH801byH801fireH801to the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068.

19“Thenyou shall takeוְלָ֣קַחְתָּ֔ve.La.kach.taH3947theotherהַשֵּׁנִ֑יha.she.NiH8145ramהָאַ֣יִלha.'A.yilH352,and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֧ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּבָנָ֛יוu.va.NavH1121shall layוְסָמַ֨ךְve.sa.MakhH5564their handsיְדֵיהֶ֖םye.dei.HemH3027on the headרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of the ramהָאָֽיִל׃ha.'A.yilH352.

20And you shall slaughterוְשָׁחַטְתָּ֣ve.sha.cha.TaH7819the ramהָאַ֗יִלha.'A.yilH352,and takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֤ve.la.kach.TaH3947someH4480of its bloodמִדָּמוֹ֙mi.da.MoH1818and putוְנָֽתַתָּ֡הve.na.ta.TahH5414iton the lobeתְּנוּךְ֩te.nuKhH8571of Aaron’sאַהֲרֹ֜ן'a.ha.RonH175right earאֹ֨זֶן'O.zenH241and on the lobesתְּנ֨וּךְte.NukhH8571of his sons’בָּנָיו֙ba.NavH1121rightהַיְמָנִ֔יתhay.ma.NitH3233earsאֹ֤זֶן'O.zenH241,and on the thumbsבֹּ֤הֶןBo.henH931of their rightהַיְמָנִ֔יתhay.ma.NitH3233handsיָדָם֙ya.DamH3027,and on the bigבֹּ֥הֶןBo.henH931toesH931of their rightהַיְמָנִ֑יתhay.ma.NitH3233feetרַגְלָ֖םrag.LamH7272,and sprinkleוְזָרַקְתָּ֧ve.za.rak.TaH2236the rest of thebloodהַדָּ֛םha.DamH1818aroundסָבִֽיב׃sa.VivH5439on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196.

21Then you shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֞ve.la.kach.TaH3947someH4480of the bloodהַדָּ֨םha.DamH1818that is on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַ֮ha.miz.be.aChH4196and someH4480of theanointingהַמִּשְׁחָה֒ha.mish.ChahH4888oilוּמִשֶּׁ֣מֶןu.mi.She.menH8081,and sprinkleוְהִזֵּיתָ֤ve.hi.zei.TaH5137iton Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙'a.ha.RonH175and on his garmentsבְּגָדָ֔יוbe.ga.DavH899,and on his sonsבָּנָ֛יוba.NavH1121and on his sons’בָנָ֖יוva.NavH1121garmentsבִּגְדֵ֥יbig.DeiH899with him; so he and his garmentsוּבְגָדָ֔יוu.ve.ga.DavH899shall be consecratedוְקָדַ֥שׁve.ka.DashH6942,as well as his sonsוּבָנָ֛יוu.va.NavH1121and his sons’בָנָ֖יוva.NavH1121garmentsוּבִגְדֵ֥יu.vig.DeiH899with him.

22“You shall also takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֣ve.la.kach.TaH3947the fatהַחֵ֨לֶבha.Che.levH2459from the ramהָ֠אַיִלHa.'a.yilH352and the fatוְהָֽאַלְיָ֜הve.ha.'al.YahH451tailH451,and the fatהַחֵ֣לֶב׀ha.Che.levH2459that coversהַֽמְכַסֶּ֣הham.kha.SehH3680the entrailsהַקֶּ֗רֶבha.Ke.revH7130and thelobeיֹתֶ֤רֶתyo.Te.retH3508of the liverהַכָּבֵד֙ha.ka.VedH3516,and the twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147kidneysהַכְּלָיֹ֗תha.ke.la.YotH3629and the fatהַחֵ֙לֶב֙ha.Che.levH2459that is on them, and the rightהַיָּמִ֑יןhai.ya.MinH3225thighשׁ֣וֹקShokH7785(for it is a ramאֵ֥יל'eilH352ofordinationמִלֻּאִ֖יםmi.lu.'ImH4394),

23and oneאַחַ֗ת'a.ChatH259loafוְכִכַּ֨רve.khi.KarH3603of breadלֶ֜חֶםLe.chemH3899, andoneאַחַ֖ת'a.ChatH259cakeוַֽחַלַּ֨תva.cha.LatH2471of breadלֶ֥חֶםLe.chemH3899mixed withoilשֶׁ֛מֶןShe.menH8081,and oneאֶחָ֑ד'e.ChadH259waferוְרָקִ֣יקve.ra.KikH7550from the basketמִסַּל֙mi.SalH5536of unleavenedהַמַּצּ֔וֹתha.ma.TzotH4682breadH4682whichאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834is setbeforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068;

24and you shall putוְשַׂמְתָּ֣ve.sam.TaH7760allH3605theseH3605in thehandsכַּפֵּ֣יka.PeiH3709of Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175and in thehandsכַּפֵּ֣יka.PeiH3709of his sonsבָנָ֑יוva.NavH1121,and shall waveוְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ve.he.naf.TaH5130them as a waveH8573offeringH8573beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

25Thenyou shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֤ve.la.kach.TaH3947them from their handsמִיָּדָ֔םmi.ya.DamH3027,and offerH6999them upH6999inH6999smokeוְהִקְטַרְתָּ֥ve.hik.tar.TaH6999on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חָהha.miz.Be.chahH4196on the burntהָעֹלָ֑הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930for a soothingנִיח֙וֹחַ֙ni.Cho.achH5207aromaלְרֵ֤יחַle.Rei.achH7381beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;it is an offeringאִשֶּׁ֥ה'i.ShehH801byH801fireH801to the Lordלַיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

26“Then you shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֣ve.la.kach.TaH3947the breastהֶֽחָזֶ֗הhe.cha.ZehH2373of Aaron’sלְאַהֲרֹ֔ןle.'a.ha.RonH175ramמֵאֵ֤ילme.'EilH352ofordinationהַמִּלֻּאִים֙ha.mi.lu.'ImH4394,and waveוְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ve.he.naf.TaH5130it as a waveH8573offeringH8573beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;and it shall be your portionלְמָנָֽה׃le.ma.NahH4490.

27You shall consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֞ve.ki.dash.TaH6942the breastחֲזֵ֣הcha.ZehH2373of the waveH8573offeringH8573and the thighשׁ֣וֹקShokH7785of thecontributionהַתְּרוּמָ֔הha.te.ru.MahH8641whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834was wavedהוּנַ֖ףhu.NafH5130and whichוַאֲשֶׁ֣רva.'a.SherH834wasofferedהוּרָ֑םhu.RamH7311from the ramמֵאֵיל֙me.'EilH352ofordinationהַמִּלֻּאִ֔יםha.mi.lu.'ImH4394,from the one whichמֵאֲשֶׁ֥רme.'a.SherH834was for Aaronלְאַהֲרֹ֖ןle.'a.ha.RonH175and from the one whichוּמֵאֲשֶׁ֥רu.me.'a.SherH834was for his sonsלְבָנָֽיו׃le.va.NavH1121.

28It shall be for Aaronלְאַהֲרֹ֨ןle.'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּלְבָנָ֜יוu.le.va.NavH1121as theirportionלְחָק־le.chok-H2706foreverעוֹלָ֗םo.LamH5769from the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, for it isa contributionתְרוּמָ֖הte.ru.MahH8641; and it shall bea contributionוּתְרוּמָ֞הu.te.ru.MahH8641from the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478from the sacrificesמִזִּבְחֵ֣יmi.ziv.CheiH2077of their peaceשַׁלְמֵיהֶ֔םshal.mei.HemH8002offeringsH8002, theircontributionתְּרוּמָתָ֖םte.ru.ma.TamH8641to the Lordלַיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

29“The holyהַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙ha.Ko.deshH6944garmentsוּבִגְדֵ֤יu.vig.DeiH899of Aaronלְאַהֲרֹ֔ןle.'a.ha.RonH175shall be for his sonsלְבָנָ֖יוle.va.NavH1121afterאַחֲרָ֑יו'a.cha.RavH310him,so that they may be anointedH4886and ordainedוּלְמַלֵּא־ יָדָֽם׃u.le.ma.le'- ya.DamH4390 H3027in them.

30For sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117the one of his sonsמִבָּנָ֑יוmi.ba.NavH1121who is priestהַכֹּהֵ֛ןha.ko.HenH3548inH8478his placeתַּחְתָּ֖יוtach.TavH8478shall putH3847them onH3847whenאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he entersיָבֹ֛אya.Vo'H935the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֖דmo.'EdH4150to ministerלְשָׁרֵ֥תle.sha.RetH8334in the Holyבַּקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ba.Ko.deshH6944PlaceH6944.

Food of the Priests

31“Now you shall takeתִּקָּ֑חti.KachH3947the ramאֵ֥יל'eilH352ofordinationהַמִּלֻּאִ֖יםha.mi.lu.'ImH4394andboilוּבִשַּׁלְתָּ֥u.vi.shal.TaH1310its fleshבְּשָׂר֖וֹbe.sa.RoH1320in a holyקָדֹֽשׁ׃ka.DoshH6918placeבְּמָקֹ֥םbe.ma.KomH4725.

32Then Aaronאַהֲרֹ֤ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּבָנָיו֙u.va.NavH1121shall eatוְאָכַ֨לve.'a.KhalH398the fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320of the ramהָאַ֔יִלha.'A.yilH352and the breadהַלֶּ֖חֶםha.Le.chemH3899that is in the basketבַּסָּ֑לba.SalH5536,at the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵֽד׃mo.'EdH4150.

33Sothey shall eatוְאָכְל֤וּve.'a.khe.LuH398those things by whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834atonementH3722was madeH3722at their ordinationלְמַלֵּ֥א יָדָ֖םle.ma.Le' ya.DamH4390 H3027andconsecrationלְקַדֵּ֣שׁle.ka.DeshH6942; but alaymanוְזָ֥רve.ZarH2114shall not eatיֹאכַ֖לyo.KhalH398them,becauseכִּי־ki-H3588they are holyקֹ֥דֶשׁKo.deshH6944.

34Andifוְֽאִם־ve.'im-H518anyH4480of the fleshמִבְּשַׂ֧רmi.be.SarH1320ofordinationהַמִּלֻּאִ֛יםha.mi.lu.'ImH4394or anyH4480of the breadהַלֶּ֖חֶםha.Le.chemH3899remainsיִוָּתֵ֞רyi.va.TerH3498untilעַד־'ad-H5704morningהַבֹּ֑קֶרha.Bo.kerH1242,then you shall burnוְשָׂרַפְתָּ֤ve.sa.raf.TaH8313the remainderהַנּוֹתָר֙ha.no.TarH3498with fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784;it shall not be eatenיֵאָכֵ֖לye.'a.KhelH398,becauseכִּי־ki-H3588it is holyקֹ֥דֶשׁKo.deshH6944.

35“So you shall doוְעָשִׂ֜יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213for Aaronלְאַהֲרֹ֤ןle.'a.ha.RonH175and for his sonsוּלְבָנָיו֙u.le.va.NavH1121,according to allכְּכֹ֥לke.KholH3605that I have commandedצִוִּ֖יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680you; you shallordainתְּמַלֵּ֥א יָדָֽם׃te.ma.Le' ya.DamH4390 H3027them forsevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117.
