1Now the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Cutפְּסָל־pe.sol-H6458outH6458for yourselftwoשְׁנֵֽי־she.nei-H8147stoneאֲבָנִ֖ים'a.va.NimH68tabletsלֻחֹ֥תlu.ChotH3871like the formerכָּרִאשֹׁנִ֑יםka.ri.sho.NimH7223onesH7223, andI will writeוְכָתַבְתִּי֙ve.kha.tav.TiH3789on the tabletsהַלֻּחֹ֔תha.lu.ChotH3871the wordsהַדְּבָרִ֔יםha.de.va.RimH1697that were on the formerהָרִאשֹׁנִ֖יםha.ri.sho.NimH7223tabletsהַלֻּחֹ֥תha.lu.ChotH3871whichH834you smashedשִׁבַּֽרְתָּ׃shi.Bar.taH7665.

3Andnoלֹֽא־lo'-H3808oneוְאִישׁ֙ve.'IshH376is to comeH5927upH5927with you, norוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571H408let anyoneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376be seenיֵרָ֖אye.Ra'H7200anywhereבְּכָל־be.kholH3605on the mountainהָהָ֑רha.HarH2022;evenגַּם־gam-H1571the flocksהַצֹּ֤אןha.TzonH6629and the herdsוְהַבָּקָר֙ve.ha.ba.KarH1241are not to grazeיִרְע֔וּyir.'UH7462in frontמ֖וּלmulH4136of that mountainהָהָ֥רha.HarH2022.”
4So he cutוַיִּפְסֹ֡לvai.yif.SolH6458outH6458twoשְׁנֵֽי־she.nei-H8147stoneאֲבָנִ֜ים'a.va.NimH68tabletsלֻחֹ֨תlu.ChotH3871like the formerכָּרִאשֹׁנִ֗יםka.ri.sho.NimH7223onesH7223,and Mosesמֹשֶׁ֤הmo.ShehH4872gotH7925upH7925earlyוַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨םvai.yash.KemH7925in the morningבַבֹּ֙קֶר֙va.Bo.kerH1242and wentH5927upH5927to Mountהַ֣רharH2022Sinaiסִינַ֔יsi.NaiH5514,as the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680him, and he tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947thetwoשְׁנֵ֖יshe.NeiH8147stoneאֲבָנִֽים׃'a.va.NimH68tabletsלֻחֹ֥תlu.ChotH3871in his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027.
6Then the Lordיְהוָ֥ה׀Yah.wehH3068passedH5674byH5674in frontפָּנָיו֮pa.NavH6440of him and proclaimedוַיִּקְרָא֒vai.yik.Ra'H7121, “The Lordיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068,the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068Godאֵ֥ל'elH410,compassionateרַח֖וּםra.ChumH7349and mercifulוְחַנּ֑וּןve.cha.NunH2587,slowאֶ֥רֶךְ'E.rekhH750to angerאַפַּ֖יִם'a.Pa.yimH639,and aboundingוְרַב־ve.rav-H7227in faithfulnessחֶ֥סֶדChe.sedH2617andtruthוֶאֱמֶֽת׀ve.'e.MetH571;

9Then he saidוַיֹּ֡אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Ifאִם־'im-H518in anyH4994wayH4994I have foundמָצָ֨אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672favorחֵ֤ןchenH2580in Your sightבְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙be.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,Lordאֲדֹנָ֔י'a.do.NaiH136,pleaseH4994may the Lordאֲדֹנָ֖י'a.do.NaiH136goיֵֽלֶךְ־ye.lekh-H1980along in our midstבְּקִרְבֵּ֑נוּbe.kir.Be.nuH7130,evenH3588thoughH3588the peopleעַם־'am-H5971are so obstinateקְשֵׁה־ עֹ֙רֶף֙ke.sheh- 'o.refH7186H6203, andpardonוְסָלַחְתָּ֛ve.sa.lach.TaH5545our wrongdoingלַעֲוֹנֵ֥נוּla.'a.vo.Ne.nuH5771and our sinוּלְחַטָּאתֵ֖נוּu.le.cha.ta.Te.nuH2403, andtakeוּנְחַלְתָּֽנוּ׃u.ne.chal.Ta.nuH5157us asH5157Your ownpossessionH5157.”

15otherwiseH6435you mightH6435makeתִּכְרֹ֥תtikh.RotH3772a covenantבְּרִ֖יתbe.RitH1285with the inhabitantsלְיוֹשֵׁ֣בle.yo.ShevH3427of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and they would prostituteוְזָנ֣וּ׀ve.za.NuH2181themselves with their godsאֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430andsacrificeוְזָבְחוּ֙ve.za.ve.ChuH2076to their godsלֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔םle.Lo.hei.HemH430, and someonemight inviteוְקָרָ֣אve.ka.Ra'H7121youto eatוְאָכַלְתָּ֖ve.'a.khal.TaH398of his sacrificeמִזִּבְחֽוֹ׃mi.ziv.ChoH2077,
16andyou might takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֥ve.la.kach.TaH3947someH4480of his daughtersמִבְּנֹתָ֖יוmi.be.no.TavH1323for your sonsלְבָנֶ֑יךָle.va.Nei.khaH1121,and his daughtersבְנֹתָ֗יוve.no.TavH1323might prostituteוְזָנ֣וּve.za.NuH2181themselves with their godsאֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ן'e.Lo.hei.HenH430and cause your sonsבָּנֶ֔יךָba.Nei.khaH1121alsoto prostituteוְהִזְנוּ֙ve.hiz.NuH2181themselves with their godsאֱלֹהֵיהֶֽן׃'e.lo.hei.HenH430.

27Then the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Writeכְּתָב־ke.tov-H3789downH3789theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697,for inH5921accordanceפִּ֣י׀piH5921H6310withH5921theseהָאֵ֗לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697I have madeכָּרַ֧תִּיka.Ra.tiH3772a covenantבְּרִ֖יתbe.RitH1285with you and with Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.”
28So he was thereשָׁ֣םshamH8033with the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068forfortyאַרְבָּעִ֥ים'ar.ba.'ImH705daysיוֹם֙yOmH3117and fortyוְאַרְבָּעִ֣יםve.'ar.ba.'ImH705nightsלַ֔יְלָהLay.lahH3915;he did not eatאָכַ֔ל'a.KhalH398breadלֶ֚חֶםLe.chemH3899or drinkשָׁתָ֑הsha.TahH8354waterוּמַ֖יִםu.Ma.yimH4325. AndHe wroteוַיִּכְתֹּ֣בvai.yikh.ToH3789on the tabletsהַלֻּחֹ֗תha.lu.ChotH3871the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of the covenantהַבְּרִ֔יתha.be.RitH1285,the Tenעֲשֶׂ֖רֶת'a.Se.retH6235Commandmentsהַדְּבָרִֽים׃ha.de.va.RimH1697.
Moses’ Face Shines
29And it cameH1961aboutH1961,when Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872was comingH3381downבְּרֶ֤דֶתbe.Re.detH3381from Mountמֵהַ֣רme.HarH2022Sinaiסִינַ֔יsi.NaiH5514(and thetwoוּשְׁנֵ֨יu.she.NeiH8147tabletsלֻחֹ֤תlu.ChotH3871of the testimonyהָֽעֵדֻת֙ha.'e.DutH5715werein Moses’מֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027as he was comingH3381downבְּרִדְתּ֖וֹbe.rid.ToH3381from the mountainהָהָ֑רha.HarH2022),that Mosesוּמֹשֶׁ֣הu.mo.ShehH4872did not knowיָדַ֗עya.Da'H3045thatthe skinע֥וֹרorH5785of his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440shoneקָרַ֛ןka.RanH7160because of his speakingבְּדַבְּר֥וֹbe.da.be.RoH1696with Him.
30So when Aaronאַהֲרֹ֜ן'a.ha.RonH175and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the sonsבְּנֵ֤יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478sawוַיַּ֨רְאvai.Yar'H7200Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872,beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009,the skinע֣וֹרorH5785of his faceפָּנָ֑יוpa.NavH6440shoneקָרַ֖ןka.RanH7160, andthey were afraidוַיִּֽירְא֖וּvai.yi.re.'UH3372to approachמִגֶּ֥שֶׁתmi.Ge.shetH5066him.
31Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872calledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121to them, and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֥ן'a.ha.RonH175and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the rulersהַנְּשִׂאִ֖יםha.ne.si.'ImH5387in the congregationבָּעֵדָ֑הba.'e.DahH5712returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֧בוּvai.ya.Shu.vuH7725to him; and Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to them.
32Afterwardוְאַחֲרֵי־ve.'a.cha.rei-H310allכָּל־kol-H3605the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478cameH5066nearH5066,and he commandedוַיְצַוֵּ֕םvay.tza.VemH6680them to doeverythingכָּל־kol-H3605that the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had spokenדִּבֶּ֧רdi.BerH1696to him on Mountבְּהַ֥רbe.HarH2022Sinaiסִינָֽי׃si.NaiH5514.
34But whenever Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872wentH935inH935beforeלִפְנֵ֤יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068to speakלְדַבֵּ֣רle.da.BerH1696with Him,he would takeH5493offH5493the veilהַמַּסְוֶ֖הha.mas.VehH4533untilעַד־'ad-H5704he cameH3318outH3318;and whenever he cameH3318outH3318and spokeוְדִבֶּר֙ve.di.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478whatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he had been commandedיְצֻוֶּֽה׃ye.tzu.VehH6680,
