2“On the firstהָרִאשׁ֖וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223dayבְּיוֹם־be.yom-H3117of the firstבְּאֶחָ֣דbe.'e.ChadH259monthH2320you shall setתָּקִ֕יםta.KimH6965upH6965thetabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֖ןmish.KanH4908of the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵֽד׃mo.'EdH4150.

3You shall placeוְשַׂמְתָּ֣ve.sam.TaH7760the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the testimonyהָעֵד֑וּתha.'e.DutH5715thereשָׁ֔םShamH8033,and you shall screenH5526offH5526the arkהָאָרֹ֖ןha.'a.RonH727with the veilהַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃ha.pa.Ro.khetH6532.

4Then you shallbringוְהֵבֵאתָ֙ve.he.ve.TaH935inH935the tableהַשֻּׁלְחָ֔ןha.shul.ChanH7979andarrangeוְעָרַכְתָּ֖ve.'a.rakh.TaH6186whatH6187belongsH6187on it; and you shallbringוְהֵבֵאתָ֙ve.he.ve.TaH935inH935the lampstandהַמְּנֹרָ֔הha.me.no.RahH4501andmountוְהַעֲלֵיתָ֖ve.ha.'a.lei.TaH5927its lampsנֵרֹתֶֽיהָ׃ne.ro.Tei.haH5216.

5You shall alsosetוְנָתַתָּ֞הve.na.ta.TahH5414the goldהַזָּהָב֙ha.za.HavH2091altarמִזְבַּ֤חmiz.BachH4196of incenseלִקְטֹ֔רֶתlik.To.retH7004in frontלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440of the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the testimonyהָעֵדֻ֑תha.'e.DutH5715,and setH7760upH7760the curtainמָסַ֥ךְma.SakhH4539for the doorwayהַפֶּ֖תַחha.Pe.tachH6607to the tabernacleלַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃la.mish.KanH4908.

6And you shall setוְנָ֣תַתָּ֔הve.Na.ta.TahH5414the altarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196of burntהָעֹלָ֑הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930in frontלִפְנֵ֕יlif.NeiH6440of the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֥ןmish.KanH4908of the tentאֹֽהֶל־'o.hel-H168of meetingמוֹעֵֽד׃mo.'EdH4150.

7Then you shallsetוְנָֽתַתָּ֙ve.na.ta.TaH5414the basinהַכִּיֹּ֔רha.ki.YorH3595betweenH996the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֖דmo.'EdH4150and the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,and putוְנָתַתָּ֥ve.na.ta.TaH5414waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325in it.

8You shall also setH7760upH7760the courtyardהֶחָצֵ֖רhe.cha.TzerH2691allH5439aroundH5439andhangH5414upH5414the curtainמָסַ֖ךְma.SakhH4539for the gateשַׁ֥עַרSha.'arH8179of the courtyardהֶחָצֵֽר׃he.cha.TzerH2691.

9Then you shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֙ve.la.kach.TaH3947the anointingהַמִּשְׁחָ֔הha.mish.ChahH4888oilשֶׁ֣מֶןShe.menH8081andanointוּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥u.ma.shach.TaH4886the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ןha.mish.KanH4908and everythingכָּל־kol-H3605that is in it, and consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ve.ki.dash.TaH6942it and allכָּל־kol-H3605itsfurnishingsכֵּלָ֖יוke.LavH3627;and it shall be holyקֹֽדֶשׁ׃Ko.deshH6944.

10You shall also anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּ֛u.ma.shach.TaH4886the altarמִזְבַּ֥חmiz.BachH4196of burntהָעֹלָ֖הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930and allכָּל־kol-H3605its utensilsכֵּלָ֑יוke.LavH3627,and consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֙ve.ki.dash.TaH6942the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַha.miz.Be.achH4196, andthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196shall be mostקֹ֥דֶשׁKo.deshH6944holyקָֽדָשִֽׁים׃Ka.da.ShimH6944.

11And you shall anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥u.ma.shach.TaH4886the basinהַכִּיֹּ֖רha.ki.YorH3595and its standכַּנּ֑וֹka.NoH3653,and consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֖ve.ki.dash.TaH6942it.

12Then you shallbringוְהִקְרַבְתָּ֤ve.hik.rav.TaH7126Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsבָּנָ֔יוba.NavH1121to the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150and washוְרָחַצְתָּ֥ve.ra.chatz.TaH7364them with waterבַּמָּֽיִם׃ba.Ma.yimH4325.

13Andyou shall putH3847the holyהַקֹּ֑דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944garmentsבִּגְדֵ֣יbig.DeiH899onH3847Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175and anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥u.ma.shach.TaH4886him and consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ve.ki.dash.TaH6942him, so that he may serveוְכִהֵ֥ןve.khi.HenH3547asH3547aH3547priestH3547to Me.

14You shall also bringתַּקְרִ֑יבtak.RivH7126his sonsבָּנָ֖יוba.NavH1121and putH3847tunicsכֻּתֳּנֹֽת׃ku.to.NotH3801onH3847them;

15and you shall anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּ֣u.ma.shach.TaH4886them justH3512asH3512you have anointedמָשַׁ֙חְתָּ֙ma.Shach.taH4886their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֔ם'a.vi.HemH1,so that they may serveוְכִהֲנ֖וּve.khi.ha.NuH3547asH3547priestsH3547to Me; and their anointingמָשְׁחָתָ֛םma.she.cha.TamH4888willqualifyH1961them for apermanentעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769priesthoodלִכְהֻנַּ֥תlikh.hu.NatH3550throughout their generationsלְדֹרֹתָֽם׃le.do.ro.TamH1755.”

16So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872didוַיַּ֖עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213these things;according to allכְּ֠כֹלKe.kholH3605that the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֧הtzi.VahH6680him, soכֵּ֥ןkenH3651he didעָשָֽׂה׃ ס'a.SahH6213.

17Nowin the firstהָרִאשׁ֛וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223monthבַּחֹ֧דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320of the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֖יתha.she.NitH8145yearבַּשָּׁנָ֥הba.sha.NahH8141,on the firstבְּאֶחָ֣דbe.'e.ChadH259dayof the monthלַחֹ֑דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320, thetabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃ha.mish.KanH4908was erectedהוּקַ֖םhu.KamH6965.

18Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872erectedוַיָּ֨קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֗ןha.mish.KanH4908andlaidוַיִּתֵּן֙vai.yi.TenH5414its basesאֲדָנָ֔יו'a.da.NavH134,and setוַיָּ֙שֶׂם֙vai.Ya.semH7760upH7760its boardsקְרָשָׁ֔יוke.ra.ShavH7175, andinsertedוַיִּתֵּ֖ןvai.yi.TenH5414its barsבְּרִיחָ֑יוbe.ri.ChavH1280,and erectedוַיָּ֖קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965its pillarsעַמּוּדָֽיו׃'a.mu.DavH5982.

19And he spreadוַיִּפְרֹ֤שׂvai.yif.RosH6566the tentהָאֹ֙הֶל֙ha.'O.helH168overH5921the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ןha.mish.KanH4908and putוַיָּ֜שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the coveringמִכְסֵ֥הmikh.SehH4372of the tentהָאֹ֛הֶלha.'O.helH168on topמִלְמָ֑עְלָהmil.Ma.'e.lahH4605of it, justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.

20Then he tookוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947the testimonyהָעֵדֻת֙ha.'e.DutH5715and putוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414itinto the arkהָ֣אָרֹ֔ןha.'a.RonH727, andattachedוַיָּ֥שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the polesהַבַּדִּ֖יםha.ba.DimH905to the arkהָאָרֹ֑ןha.'a.RonH727,and putוַיִּתֵּ֧ןvai.yi.TenH5414theatoningH3727coverהַכַּפֹּ֛רֶתha.ka.Po.retH3727on topמִלְמָֽעְלָה׃mil.Ma.'e.lahH4605of the arkהָאָרֹ֖ןha.'a.RonH727.

21He then broughtוַיָּבֵ֣אvai.ya.Ve'H935the arkהָאָרֹן֮ha.'a.RonH727into the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּן֒ha.mish.KanH4908, andsetוַיָּ֗שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760upH7760a veilפָּרֹ֣כֶתpa.Ro.khetH6532for the coveringהַמָּסָ֔ךְha.ma.SakhH4539,and screenedH5526offH5526the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the testimonyהָעֵד֑וּתha.'e.DutH5715,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.

22He alsoputוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414the tableהַשֻּׁלְחָן֙ha.shul.ChanH7979in the tentבְּאֹ֣הֶלbe.'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150on the northצָפֹ֑נָהtza.Fo.nahH6828sideיֶ֥רֶךְYe.rekhH3409of the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ןha.mish.KanH4908,outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the veilלַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃la.pa.Ro.khetH6532.

24Then he placedוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the lampstandהַמְּנֹרָה֙ha.me.no.RahH4501in the tentבְּאֹ֣הֶלbe.'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150,oppositeנֹ֖כַחNo.khachH5227the tableהַשֻּׁלְחָ֑ןha.shul.ChanH7979,on the southנֶֽגְבָּה׃Neg.bahH5045sideיֶ֥רֶךְYe.rekhH3409of the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ןha.mish.KanH4908.

25And helightedוַיַּ֥עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927the lampsהַנֵּרֹ֖תha.ne.RotH5216beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.

26Then heplacedוַיָּ֛שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the goldהַזָּהָ֖בha.za.HavH2091altarמִזְבַּ֥חmiz.BachH4196in the tentבְּאֹ֣הֶלbe.'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150in frontלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440of the veilהַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃ha.pa.Ro.khetH6532;

27and heburnedוַיַּקְטֵ֥רvai.yak.TerH6999fragrantסַמִּ֑יםsa.MimH5561incenseקְטֹ֣רֶתke.To.retH7004on it, justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ פmo.ShehH4872.

28Then he setוַיָּ֛שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760upH7760the curtainמָסַ֥ךְma.SakhH4539for the doorwayהַפֶּ֖תַחha.Pe.tachH6607of the tabernacleלַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃la.mish.KanH4908.

29And hesetשָׂ֕םsamH7760the altarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196of burntהָעֹלָ֔הha.'o.LahH5930offeringהָעֹלָה֙ha.'o.LahH5930in front ofthe doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֣ןmish.KanH4908of the tentאֹֽהֶל־'o.hel-H168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150, andofferedוַיַּ֣עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927on it the burntH5930offeringH5930and the mealH4503offeringהַמִּנְחָ֔הha.min.ChahH4503,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.

30He placedוַיָּ֙שֶׂם֙vai.Ya.semH7760the basinהַכִּיֹּ֔רha.ki.YorH3595betweenH996the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֖דmo.'EdH4150and the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,and putוַיִּתֵּ֥ןvai.yi.TenH5414waterמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325in it for washingלְרָחְצָֽה׃le.ra.che.TzahH7364.

31From it Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֣ןve.'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּבָנָ֑יוu.va.NavH1121washedוְרָחֲצ֣וּve.ra.cha.TzuH7364their handsיְדֵיהֶ֖םye.dei.HemH3027and their feetרַגְלֵיהֶֽם׃rag.lei.HemH7272.

32When they enteredבְּבֹאָ֞םbe.vo.'AmH935the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֗דmo.'EdH4150,and when they approachedוּבְקָרְבָתָ֛םu.ve.ka.re.va.TamH7126the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,they washedיִרְחָ֑צוּyir.Cha.tzuH7364,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.

33And heerectedוַיָּ֣קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965the courtyardהֶחָצֵ֗רhe.cha.TzerH2691allH5439aroundH5439thetabernacleלַמִּשְׁכָּ֣ןla.mish.KanH4908and the altarוְלַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַve.la.miz.Be.achH4196, andhungH5414upH5414the curtainמָסַ֖ךְma.SakhH4539for the gateשַׁ֣עַרSha.'arH8179of the courtyardהֶחָצֵ֑רhe.cha.TzerH2691.So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872finishedוַיְכַ֥לvay.KhalH3615the workהַמְּלָאכָֽה׃ פha.me.la.KhahH4399.

34Then the cloudהֶעָנָ֖ןhe.'a.NanH6051coveredוַיְכַ֥סvay.KhasH3680the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150, and thegloryוּכְב֣וֹדu.khe.VodH3519of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068filledמָלֵ֖אma.Le'H4390the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃ha.mish.KanH4908.

35And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872wasH3201not ableיָכֹ֣לya.KholH3201to enterלָבוֹא֙la.Vo'H935the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the cloudהֶעָנָ֑ןhe.'a.NanH6051had settledשָׁכַ֥ןsha.KhanH7931on it, and the gloryוּכְב֣וֹדu.khe.VodH3519of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068filledמָלֵ֖אma.Le'H4390the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃ha.mish.KanH4908.

36Throughoutבְּכֹ֖לbe.KholH3605their journeysמַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃mas.'ei.HemH4550,whenever the cloudהֶֽעָנָן֙he.'a.NanH6051was takenH5927upH5927from overמֵעַ֣לme.'AlH5921the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ןha.mish.KanH4908,the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478would setיִסְע֖וּyis.'UH5265outH5265;

37butifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518the cloudהֶעָנָ֑ןhe.'a.NanH6051was not takenH5927upH5927,then they did not setיִסְע֔וּyis.'UH5265outH5265untilעַד־'ad-H5704the dayי֖וֹםYomH3117when it was takenH5927upH5927.

38For throughoutכָל־khol-H3605their journeysמַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃mas.'ei.HemH4550,the cloudעֲנַ֨ן'a.NanH6051of the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068was on the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ha.mish.KanH4908by dayיוֹמָ֔םyo.MamH3119,and there was fireוְאֵ֕שׁve.'EshH784in it by nightלַ֖יְלָהLay.lahH3915,in the sightלְעֵינֵ֥יle.'ei.NeiH5869of allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.
