Luke 24:13-21
And beholdG2400, 1twoG1417 of them were goingG4198 that veryG846 dayG2250 to a villageG2968 namedG3686 EmmausG1695, which was 2about sevenG1835 milesG4712 from JerusalemG2419.
And they were talkingG3656 with eachG240 otherG240 aboutG4012 allG3956 theseG3778 thingsG3778 which had takenG4819 placeG4819.
WhileG1722 they were talkingG3656 and discussingG4802, JesusG2424 HimselfG846 approachedG1448 and began travelingG4848 with them.
But 3their eyesG3788 were preventedG2902 from recognizingG1921 Him.
And He saidG3004 to them, “WhatG5101 are theseG3778 wordsG3056 that you are exchangingG474 with oneG240 anotherG240 as you are walkingG4043?” And they stoodG2476 stillG2476, lookingG4659 sadG4659.
OneG1520 of them, namedG3686 CleopasG2810, answeredG611 and saidG3004 to Him, “Are You 4the onlyG3441 oneG3441 visitingG3939 JerusalemG2419 and unawareG3756G1097 of the things which have happenedG1096 hereG1722G846 in theseG3778 daysG2250?”
And He saidG3004 to them, “WhatG4169 thingsG4169?” And they saidG3004 to Him, “The things aboutG4012 5JesusG2424 the NazareneG3479, whoG3739 was a 6prophetG4396 mightyG1415 in deedG2041 and wordG3056 in the sightG1727 of GodG2316 and allG3956 the peopleG2992,
and howG3704 the chiefG749 priestsG749 and our 7rulersG758 deliveredG3860 Him to the sentenceG2917 of deathG2288, and crucifiedG4717 Him.
But we were hopingG1679 that it was He who was goingG3195 to 8redeemG3084 IsraelG2474. IndeedG235, besidesG2532G4862 allG3956 thisG3778, it is the thirdG5154 dayG2250 sinceG575G3739 theseG3778 thingsG3778 happenedG1096.
