Evil Leaders Rebuked

1The righteousH6662 manH6662 perishesH6, and noH369 manH376 1takesH7760 it to heartH3820; And devoutH2617 menH376 are takenH622 awayH622, while noH369 oneH369 understandsH995. For the righteousH6662 manH6662 is takenH622 awayH622 from 2evilH7463,2He entersH935 into peaceH7965; They restH5117 in their 3bedsH4904, Each one who 4walkedH1980 in his uprightH5228 wayH5228.3“But comeH7126 hereH2008, you sonsH1121 of a 5sorceressH6049, 6OffspringH2233 of an adultererH5003 and 7a 8prostituteH2181.4AgainstH5921 whomH4310 do you jestH6026? AgainstH5921 whomH4310 do you openH7337 wideH7337 your mouthH6310 And stickH748 out your tongueH3956? Are you not childrenH3206 of 9rebellionH6588, OffspringH2233 of deceitH8267,5Who inflameH2552 yourselves among the 1011oaksH352, 12UnderH8478 everyH3605 luxuriantH7488 treeH6086, Who 13slaughterH7819 the childrenH3206 in the 14ravinesH5158, UnderH8478 the cleftsH5585 of the cragsH5553?6Among the 1516smoothH2509 stones of the 17ravineH5158 Is your portionH2506, 18they are your lotH1486; EvenH1571 to them you have 19pouredH8210 out a drinkH5262 offeringH5262, You have madeH5927 a grain offeringH4503. Shall I 2021relentH5162 concerningH5921 theseH428 thingsH428?7Upon a 22highH1364 and loftyH5375 mountainH2022 You have 23madeH7760 your bedH4904. You alsoH1571 wentH5927 up thereH8033 to offerH2076 sacrificeH2077.8BehindH310 the doorH1817 and the doorpostH4201 You have setH7760 up your signH2146; IndeedH3588, far removedH4480 from Me, you have 24uncoveredH1540 yourself, And have goneH5927 up and madeH7337 your bedH4904 wideH7337. And you have madeH3772 an agreement for yourself with them, You have lovedH157 their 25bedH4904, You have lookedH2372 on their 26manhoodH3027.9You have journeyedH7788 to the kingH4428 with oilH8081 And increasedH7235 your perfumesH7547; You have 27sentH7971 your envoysH6735 a great distanceH7350 And made them goH8213 downH8213 to 28SheolH7585.10You were tiredH3021 out by the lengthH7230 of your roadH1870, Yet you did not sayH559, ‘29It is hopelessH2976.’ You foundH4672 30renewedH2416 strengthH3027, ThereforeH5921H3651 you did not 31faintH2470.

11“Of 32whomH4310 were you worriedH1672 and fearfulH3372 WhenH3588 you liedH3576, and did 33not rememberH2142 Me 34NorH3808 35giveH7760 Me a thoughtH3820? Was I not silentH2814 even for a longH5769 timeH5769 So you do not fearH3372 Me?12I will 36declareH5046 your righteousnessH6666 and your 37deedsH4639, But they will not profitH3276 you.13When you cryH2199 out, 38let your collectionH6899 of idols deliverH5337 you. But the windH7307 will carryH5375 allH3605 of them up, And a breathH1892 will takeH3947 them away. But he who 39takesH2620 refugeH2620 in Me will 40inheritH5157 the landH776 And will 41possessH3423 My holyH6944 mountainH2022.”

14And it will be saidH559, “42BuildH5549 up, buildH5549 up, prepareH6437 the wayH1870, RemoveH7311 every obstacleH4383 out of the wayH1870 of My peopleH5971.”15For thusH3541 saysH559 the 43highH7311 and exaltedH5375 One Who 4445livesH7931 foreverH5703, whose nameH8034 is HolyH6918, “I 46dwellH7931 on a highH4791 and holyH6918 place, And also with the 47contriteH1793 and lowlyH8217 of spiritH7307 In order to 48reviveH2421 the spiritH7307 of the lowlyH8217 And to reviveH2421 the heartH3820 of the contriteH1792.16For I will 49not contendH7378 foreverH5769, 50NorH3808 will I alwaysH5331 be angryH7107; For the spiritH7307 would growH5848 faintH5848 beforeH4480H6440 Me, And the 51breathH5397 of those whom I have madeH6213.17Because of the iniquityH5771 of his 52unjustH1215 gainH1215 I was angryH7107 and struckH5221 him; I hidH5641 My face and was angryH7107, And he wentH1980 on 53turningH7726 awayH7726, in the wayH1870 of his heartH3820.18I have seenH7200 his waysH1870, but I will 54healH7495 him; I will 55leadH5148 him and 56restoreH7999 comfortH5150 to him and to his mournersH57,19CreatingH1254 the 5758praiseH5108 of the lipsH8193. 59PeaceH7965, peaceH7965 to him who is 60farH7350 and to him who is nearH7138,” SaysH559 the LordH3068, “and I will healH7495 him.”20But the 61wickedH7563 are like the tossingH1644 seaH3220, For it cannotH3201H3808 be quietH8252, And its watersH4325 tossH1644 up refuseH7516 and mudH2916.21“62ThereH369 is noH369 peaceH7965,” saysH559 63my GodH430, “for the wickedH7563.”
