Message to Egypt
1The 12oracleH4853 concerning 3EgyptH4714. BeholdH2009, the LordH3068 is 4ridingH7392 on a swiftH7031 cloudH5645 and is about to comeH935 to EgyptH4714; The 5idolsH457 of EgyptH4714 will trembleH5128 at His presenceH6440, And the 6heartH3824 of the EgyptiansH4714 will meltH4549 withinH7130 them.2“So I will inciteH5526 EgyptiansH4714 against EgyptiansH4714; And they will 7eachH376 fightH3898 against his brotherH251 and eachH376 against his neighborH7453, CityH5892 against cityH5892 and kingdomH4467 against kingdomH4467.3Then the spiritH7307 of the EgyptiansH4714 will be demoralizedH1238 withinH7130 them; And I will confoundH1104 their strategyH6098, So that 8they will resortH1875 to idolsH457 and ghostsH330 of the deadH330 And to 9mediumsH178 and spiritistsH3049.4Moreover, I will deliverH5534 the EgyptiansH4714 into the handH3027 of a 10cruelH7186 masterH113, And a 11mightyH5794 kingH4428 will ruleH4910 over them,” declaresH5002 the LordH136 12GodH3068 of hostsH6635.
513The watersH4325 from the seaH3220 will dryH5405 up, And the riverH5104 will be parchedH2717 and dryH3001.6The 1415canalsH5104 will emitH2186 a stenchH2186, The 1617streamsH2975 of EgyptH4693 will thinH1809 out and dryH2717 up; 18The reedsH7070 and rushesH5488 will rotH7060 awayH7060.7The bulrushesH6169 by the 19NileH2975, by the 20edgeH6310 of the NileH2975 And allH3605 the sownH4218 fieldsH4218 by the NileH2975 Will becomeH3001 dryH3001, be drivenH5086 awayH5086, and be noH369 moreH369.8And the 21fishermenH1728 will lamentH578, And allH3605 those who castH7993 a 22lineH2443 into the NileH2975 will mournH56, And those who spreadH6566 netsH4365 on the watersH4325 will 23pineH535 awayH535.9Moreover, the manufacturersH5647 of linenH6593 made from combedH8305 flaxH6593 And the weaversH707 of whiteH2360 24clothH2360 will be 25utterlyH954 dejectedH954.10And 26the 27pillarsH8356 of Egypt will be crushedH1792; AllH3605 the hiredH7938 laborersH6213 will be grievedH99 in soulH5315.
11The princesH8269 of 2829ZoanH6814 are mereH389 foolsH191; The adviceH6098 of Pharaoh’sH6547 wisestH2450 advisersH3289 has becomeH1197 30stupidH1197. HowH349 can you men sayH559 to PharaohH6547, “I am a sonH1121 of the 31wiseH2450, a sonH1121 of ancientH6924 kingsH4428”?12WellH645 thenH645, whereH335 are your wiseH2450 menH2450? PleaseH4994 let them tellH5046 you, And let them 32understandH3045 whatH4100 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 Has 33purposedH3289 againstH5921 EgyptH4714.13The princesH8269 of 34ZoanH6814 have actedH2973 foolishlyH2973, The princesH8269 of 35MemphisH5297 are deludedH5378; Those who are the 36cornerstoneH6438 of her tribesH7626 Have 37ledH8582 EgyptH4714 astrayH8582.14The LordH3068 has mixedH4537 withinH7130 her a spiritH7307 of 38distortionH5773; 39They have ledH8582 EgyptH4714 astrayH8582 in allH3605 40that it doesH4639, As a 41drunkenH7910 manH7910 42staggersH8582 in his vomitH7006.15There will be noH3808 workH4639 for EgyptH4714 43WhichH834 its headH7218 or tailH2180, its palmH3712 branchH3712 or bulrushH100, may doH6213.
16In that dayH3117 the EgyptiansH4714 will becomeH1961 like womenH802, and they will trembleH2729 and be in 44dreadH6342 becauseH4480H6440 of the 45wavingH5130 of the handH3027 of the LordH3068 of hostsH6635, whichH834 He is going to waveH5130 overH5921 them. 17The landH127 of JudahH3063 will becomeH1961 a 46terrorH2283 to EgyptH4714; everyoneH3605 47to whomH834 it is mentionedH2142 will be in dreadH6342 of it, becauseH4480H6440 of the 48purposeH6098 of the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 whichH834 He is purposingH3289 againstH5921 them.
18In that dayH3117 fiveH2568 citiesH5892 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714 will be speakingH1696 the languageH8193 of CanaanH3667 and 49swearingH7650 allegiance to the LordH3068 of hostsH6635; oneH259 will be calledH559 the CityH5892 of 50DestructionH2041.
19In that dayH3117 there will be an 51altarH4196 to the LordH3068 in the midstH8432 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and a 52pillarH4676 to the LordH3068 nearH681 its borderH1366. 20It will becomeH1961 a signH226 and a witnessH5707 to the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714; for they will cryH6817 to the LordH3068 becauseH4480H6440 of oppressorsH3905, and He will sendH7971 them a 53SaviorH3467 and a 5455ChampionH7227, and He will deliverH5337 them. 21Thus the LordH3068 will makeH3045 Himself knownH3045 to EgyptH4714, and the EgyptiansH4714 will knowH3045 the LordH3068 in that dayH3117. They will even worshipH5647 with 56sacrificeH2077 and offeringH4503, and will makeH5087 a vowH5088 to the LordH3068 and performH7999 it. 22The LordH3068 will strikeH5062 EgyptH4714, strikingH5062 but 57healingH7495; so they will 58returnH7725 to the LordH3068, and He will respondH6279 to them and will healH7495 them.
23In that dayH3117 there will be a 59highwayH4546 from EgyptH4714 to AssyriaH804, and the AssyriansH804 will comeH935 into EgyptH4714 and the EgyptiansH4714 into AssyriaH804, and the EgyptiansH4714 will 60worshipH5647 with the AssyriansH804.
24In that dayH3117 IsraelH3478 will be the thirdH7992 party with EgyptH4714 and AssyriaH804, a blessingH1293 in the midstH7130 of the earthH776, 25whomH834 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 has blessedH1288, sayingH559, “BlessedH1288 is 61EgyptH4714 My peopleH5971, and AssyriaH804 62the workH4639 of My handsH3027, and IsraelH3478 My inheritanceH5159.”
