Genesis 4:1-7
1Now the manH120 1hadH3045 relationsH3045 with his wifeH802 EveH2332, and she conceivedH2029 and gaveH3205 birthH3205 to 2CainH7014, and she saidH559, “I have gottenH7069 a 3manchildH376 with the help of the LordH3068.”
2AgainH3254, she gaveH3205 birthH3205 to his brotherH251 AbelH1893. And 4AbelH1893 was 5a keeperH7462 of flocksH6629, but CainH7014 was a tillerH5647 of the groundH127.
3So it cameH1961 about 6in the courseH4480H7093 of timeH3117 that CainH7014 broughtH935 an offeringH4503 to the LordH3068 of the fruitH6529 of the groundH127.
47AbelH1893, on his partH1571 alsoH1571 broughtH935 of the firstlingsH1060 of his flockH6629 and of their fatH2459 portionsH2459. And 8the LordH3068 hadH8159 regardH8159 for AbelH1893 and for his offeringH4503;
5but 9for CainH7014 and for his offeringH4503 He hadH8159 noH3808 regardH8159. So 10CainH7014 becameH2734 veryH3966 angryH2734 and his countenanceH6440 fellH5307.
6Then the LordH3068 saidH559 to CainH7014, “11WhyH4100 are you angryH2734? And whyH4100 has your countenanceH6440 fallenH5307?
712IfH518 you doH3190 wellH3190, 13will not your countenance be liftedH7613 up? 14And ifH518 you do not doH3190 wellH3190, sinH2403 is crouchingH7257 at the doorH6607; and its desireH8669 is for you, 15but you must masterH4910 it.”
