Genesis 26:22-33
22He movedH6275 awayH6275 from thereH8033 and dugH2658 anotherH312 wellH875, and they did not quarrelH7378 overH5921 it; so he namedH7121H8034 it 1RehobothH7344, for he saidH559, “23At lastH3588H6258 the LordH3068 has madeH7337 4roomH7337 for us, and we will be 5fruitfulH6509 in the landH776.”
23Then he wentH5927 up from thereH8033 to 6BeershebaH884. 24The LordH3068 7appearedH7200 to him the sameH1931 nightH3915 and saidH559, “8I am the GodH430 of your fatherH1 AbrahamH85; 9Do not fearH3372, for I am with you. I 10will blessH1288 you, and multiplyH7235 your 11descendantsH2233, For the sakeH5668 of My servantH5650 AbrahamH85.” 25So he builtH1129 an 12altarH4196 thereH8033 and calledH7121 upon the nameH8034 of the LordH3068, and pitchedH5186 his tentH168 thereH8033; and thereH8033 Isaac’sH3327 servantsH5650 dugH3738 a wellH875.
26Then 13AbimelechH40 cameH1980 to him from GerarH1642 14with his adviserH4828 AhuzzathH276 and PhicolH6369 the commanderH8269 of his armyH6635. 27IsaacH3327 saidH559 to them, “15WhyH4069 have you comeH935 to me, since you hateH8130 me and have sentH7971 me awayH7971 from you?” 28They saidH559, “We seeH7200 plainlyH7200 16that the LordH3068 has beenH1961 with you; so we saidH559, ‘Let there nowH4994 be an oathH423 betweenH996 us, even betweenH996 17you and us, and let us makeH3772 a covenantH1285 with you, 29that you will doH6213 us noH518 harmH7463, justH3512 as we have not touchedH5060 you 18and have doneH6213 to you nothingH7534 but goodH2896 and have sentH7971 you awayH7971 in peaceH7965. You are nowH6258 the 19blessedH1288 of the LordH3068.’” 30Then 20he madeH6213 them a feastH4960, and they ateH398 and drankH8354. 31In the morningH1242 they aroseH7925 earlyH7925 and 2122exchangedH7650 oathsH7650; then IsaacH3327 sentH7971 them awayH7971 and they departedH1980 from him in peaceH7965. 32Now it cameH1961 about on the sameH1931 dayH3117, that Isaac’sH3327 servantsH5650 cameH935 in and toldH5046 him aboutH5921H182 the wellH875 whichH834 they had dugH2658, and saidH559 to him, “We have foundH4672 waterH4325.” 33So he calledH7121 it ShibahH7656; thereforeH5921H3651 the nameH8034 of the cityH5892 is 23BeershebaH884 to thisH2088 dayH3117.
