23JohnἸωάννηςIōannēsG2491alsoG2532was baptizingβαπτίζωνbaptizōnG907in AenonΑἰνὼνAinōnG137nearἐγγὺςengusG1451SalimΣαλείμ,SaleimG4530,becauseὅτιhotiG3754there was muchπολλὰpollaG4183waterὕδαταhudataG5204thereἐκεῖ.ekeiG1563; and peoplewere comingπαρεγίνοντοpareginontoG3854and were being baptizedἐβαπτίζοντο·ebaptizontoG907--

25ThereforeοὖνounG3767thereG1096aroseἐγένετοegenetoG1096a discussionζήτησιςzētēsisG2214on the part of John’sἸωάννουIōannouG2491disciplesμαθητῶνmathētōnG3101with a JewἸουδαίουIoudaiouG2453aboutπερὶperiG4012purificationκαθαρισμοῦ.katharismouG2512.

26And they cameἦλθονēlthonG2064to JohnἸωάννηνIōannēnG2491and saidG3004to him, “Rabbiῥαββί,rhabbiG4461,He whoὃςhosG3739was with youbeyondπέρανperanG4008the JordanἸορδάνου,IordanouG2446,to whomᾧhōG3739youhave testifiedμεμαρτύρηκας,memarturēkasG3140,beholdἴδεideG2396,He is baptizingβαπτίζει,baptizeiG907and allπάντεςpantesG3956are comingἔρχονταιerchontaiG2064to Him.”
