Numbers 5:11-29
And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559,
SpeakH1696 unto the children of IsraelH3478, and sayH559 unto them, If any man's wifeH802 go astray, and commit unfaithfulnessH4604 against him,
and a manH376 lieH7901 with her carnally, and it be hidH5641 from the eyesH5869 of her husbandH376, and she be defiledH2930 in secret, and there be no witnessH5707 against her, and she have not been caught;
and the spiritH7307 of jealousyH7068 come upon him, and he be jealousH7065 of his wifeH802, and she have been defiledH2930, — or if the spiritH7307 of jealousyH7068 come upon him, and he be jealousH7065 of his wifeH802, and she have not been defiledH2930,
— then shall the manH376 bringH935 his wifeH802 unto the priestH3548, and he shall bringH935 her offeringH4503 for her, a tenthH6224 part of an ephahH374 of barley-meal; he shall pourH3332 no oilH8081 upon it, nor putH5414 frankincenseH3828 thereon; for it is an oblation of jealousyH7068, a memorialH2146 oblation, bringingH935 iniquityH5771 to remembranceH2142.
And the priestH3548 shall bringH7126 her near, and setH5975 her before Jehovah.
And the priestH3548 shall takeH3947 holyH6918 waterH4325 in an earthen vesselH3627; and the priestH3548 shall takeH3947 of the dustH6083 that is on the floorH7172 of the tabernacleH4908, and putH5414 it into the waterH4325.
And the priestH3548 shall setH5414 the womanH802 before Jehovah, and uncover the woman's headH7218, and putH5414 the memorialH2146 oblation in her handsH3027, which is the jealousyH7068 offeringH4503; and in the handH3027 of the priestH3548 shall beH1961 the bitterH4751 waterH4325 that bringeth the curseH779.
And the priestH3548 shall adjureH7650 her, and sayH559 unto the womanH802, If no manH376 have lainH7901 with thee, and if thou hast not gone astray in uncleannessH2932, in being with another instead of thy husbandH376, be freeH5352 from this bitterH4751 waterH4325 that bringeth the curseH779.
But if thou hast gone astray to another instead of thy husbandH376, and hast been defiledH2930, and a manH376 other than thy husbandH376 have lain with thee,
— then the priestH3548 shall adjureH7650 the womanH802 with the oathH7621 of cursing, and the priestH3548 shall sayH559 unto the womanH802: Jehovah makeH5414 thee a curseH423 and an oathH7621 among thy peopleH5971, when Jehovah doth makeH5414 thy thighH3409 to shrink, and thy bellyH990 to swell;
and this waterH4325 that bringeth the curseH779 shall enter into thy bowelsH4578, to make the bellyH990 to swellH6638, and the thighH3409 to shrink. And the womanH802 shall sayH559, AmenH543, amenH543.
And the priestH3548 shall writeH3789 these cursesH423 in a bookH5612, and shall blot them out with the bitterH4751 waterH4325,
and he shall cause the womanH802 to drinkH8248 the bitterH4751 waterH4325 that bringeth the curseH779, that the waterH4325 that bringeth the curseH779 may enter into her for bitternessH4751.
And the priestH3548 shall takeH3947 out of the woman's handH3027 the oblation of jealousyH7068, and shall waveH5130 the oblation before Jehovah, and shall presentH7126 it at the altarH4196.
And the priestH3548 shall takeH7061 a handfulH7061 of the oblation as a memorialH234 thereof, and burn it upon the altarH4196; and afterwards he shall make the womanH802 drinkH8248 the waterH4325.
And when he hath made her to drinkH8248 the waterH4325, then it shall comeH935 to pass, if she have beenH1961 defiledH2930, and have committed unfaithfulnessH4604 against her husbandH376, that the waterH4325 that bringeth the curseH779 shall enter into her, for bitternessH4751, and her bellyH990 shall swellH6638, and her thighH3409 shall shrink; and the womanH802 shall becomeH1961 a curseH779 among her peopleH5971.
But if the womanH802 have not been defiledH2930, and be cleanH2889, then she shall be clear, and shall conceive seedH2233.
This is the lawH8451 of jealousies, whenH834 a wifeH802 goeth astray to another instead of her husbandH376 and is defiledH2930,
