Darby Bible
Mark 14:3-9
3And when he wasG1510 in BethanyG963, in the houseG3614 of SimonG4613 the leperG3015, as he lay at table, there cameG2064 a womanG1135 having an alabasterG211 flask of ointment of pureG4101 nardG3487, very costly; and having broken the alabasterG211 flask, she pouredG2708 it out upon his headG2776.
4And there wereG1510 some indignantG23 in themselves, and saying, WhyG5101 has this wasteG684 beenG1510 made of the ointment?
5for this ointment could have been sold for more than threeG5145 hundredG5145 denariiG1220 and givenG1325 to the poorG4434. And they spoke very angrily at her.
6But JesusG2424 saidG3004, Let her aloneG863; whyG5101 do ye trouble her? she has wrought a goodG2570 workG2041 as to me;
7for ye have the poorG4434 alwaysG3842 with you, and wheneverG3752 ye would ye can do them good; but me ye have not alwaysG3842.
8What she could she has done. She has beforehand anointed my bodyG4983 for the burialG1780.
9And verily I sayG3004 unto you, Wheresoever these glad tidings may be preachedG2784 in the wholeG3650 worldG2889, what this [woman] has done shall be alsoG2532 spokenG2980 of for a memorialG3422 of her.
