Kings 23:8-20

And he broughtH935 all the priestsH3548 out of the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and defiledH2930 the highH1116 placesH1116 whereH834 the priestsH3548 had burned incenseH6999, from GebaH1387 even to Beer-sheba; and he brokeH5422 down the highH1116 placesH1116 of the gatesH8179, those at the entranceH6607 of the gateH8179 of JoshuaH3091 the governor of the cityH5892, [and] those on the left handH8040 of any [goingH935 in] at the gateH8179 of the cityH5892.

NeverthelessH389 the priestsH3548 of the highH1116 placesH1116 cameH5927 not up to the altarH4196 of Jehovah in JerusalemH3389, but they ateH398 of the unleavenedH4682 breadH4682 among their brethren.

And he defiledH2930 TophethH8612, which is in the valleyH1516 of the sonsH1121 of HinnomH2011, that no manH376 might cause his sonH1121 or his daughterH1323 to passH5674 through the fireH784 to MolechH4432.

And he abolished the horsesH5483 that the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063 had appointed to the sunH8121 at the entrance of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, by the chamber of Nathan-melech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burnedH8313 the chariotsH4818 of the sunH8121, with fireH784.

And the kingH4428 brokeH5422 down the altarsH4196 that were on the roofH1406 of the upperH5944 chamberH5944 of AhazH271, which the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063 had madeH6213, and the altarsH4196 that ManassehH4519 had madeH6213 in the twoH8147 courts of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and he shattered them, [removing them] from thence, and castH7993 the powder of them into the torrent of KidronH6939.

And the highH1116 placesH1116 that were before JerusalemH3389, which were on the rightH3225 handH3225 of the mount of corruption, which SolomonH8010 the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had builtH1129 for Ashtoreth the abominationH8441 of the Zidonians, and for ChemoshH3645 the abominationH8441 of the Moabites, and for MilcomH4445 the abominationH8441 of the children of AmmonH5983, did the kingH4428 defileH2930.

And he brokeH7665 in pieces the columns, and cutH3772 down the Asherahs, and filledH4390 their placeH4725 with the bonesH6106 of menH120.

Moreover the altarH4196 that was at Bethel, the highH1116 placeH1116 that JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who caused IsraelH3478 to sinH2398, had madeH6213, both that altarH4196 and the highH1116 placeH1116 he brokeH5422 downH5422; and burnedH8313 the highH1116 placeH1116, stamped it small to powder, and burnedH8313 the AsherahH842.

And JosiahH2977 turnedH6437 himself, and sawH7200 the sepulchres that were there on the mount; and he sentH7971 and tookH3947 the bonesH6106 out of the sepulchres, and burnedH8313 [them] upon the altarH4196, and defiledH2930 it, according to the wordH1697 of Jehovah, that the manH376 of 1GodH430 had proclaimedH7121, who proclaimedH7121 these thingsH1697.

Then he saidH559, What tombstone is that which I seeH7200? And the menH376 of the cityH5892 told him, It is the sepulchre of the manH376 of 2GodH430 who cameH935 from JudahH3063 and proclaimedH7121 these thingsH1697 which thou hast done against the altarH4196 of Bethel.

And he saidH559, Let him alone; let no manH376 move his bonesH6106. And they savedH4422 his bonesH6106, with the bonesH6106 of the prophetH5030 that cameH935 out of SamariaH8111.

And all the housesH1004 alsoH1571 of the highH1116 placesH1116 that were in the citiesH5892 of SamariaH8111, which the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478 had madeH6213 to provokeH3707 [Jehovah] to angerH3707, JosiahH2977 removedH5493, and did to them according to all the actsH6213 that he had done in Bethel.

And he sacrificedH2076 upon the altarsH4196 all the priestsH3548 of the highH1116 placesH1116 that were there, and burnedH8313 men's bonesH6106 upon them. And he returnedH7725 to JerusalemH3389.
