1 I testify G1263 before God θεοῦ theou G2316 and Christ Χριστοῦ Christou G5547 Jesus Ἰησοῦ Iēsou G2424 , who is about to judge κρίνειν krinein G2919 living G2198 and dead νεκρούς, nekrous G3498 , and by his appearing ἐπιφάνειαν epiphaneian G2015 and his kingdom βασιλείαν basileian G932 , 2 proclaim G2784 the word λόγον, logon G3056 ; be urgent in season [ and ] out of season , convict ἔλεγξον, elegxon G1651 , rebuke ἐπιτίμησον, epitimēson G2008 , encourage G3870 , with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time καιρὸς kairos G2540 shall be ἔσται estai G1510 when ὅτε hote G3753 they will not bear G430 sound ὑγιαινούσης hugiainousēs G5198 teaching διδασκαλίας didaskalias G1319 ; but according κατὰ kata G2596 to their own ἰδίας idias G2398 lusts G1939 will heap up to themselves teachers διδασκάλους didaskalous G1320 , having an itching ear; 4 and they will turn ἀποστρέψουσιν, apostrepsousin G654 away G654 their ear from the truth ἀληθείας alētheias G225 , and will have turned G1624 aside ἐκτραπήσονται.¶ ektrapēsontai G1624 to fables . 5 But thou, be sober νῆφε nēphe G3525 in all things πᾶσιν, pasin G3956 , bear evils, do [ the ] work ἔργον ergon G2041 of an evangelist εὐαγγελιστοῦ, euangelistou G2099 , fill up the full measure of thy ministry διακονίαν diakonian G1248 . 6 For I am already ἤδη ēdē G2235 being poured σπένδομαι, spendomai G4689 out, and the time καιρὸς kairos G2540 of my release is come ἐφέστηκεν. ephestēken G2186 . 7 I have combated the good καλὸν kalon G2570 combat, I have finished τετέλεκα, teteleka G5055 the race , I have kept G5083 the faith πίστιν pistin G4102 . 8 Henceforth the crown στέφανος stephanos G4735 of righteousness δικαιοσύνης dikaiosunēs G1343 is laid up for me , which the Lord κύριος kurios G2962 , the righteous δίκαιος dikaios G1342 Judge κριτής· kritēs G2923 , will render G591 to me in that day ἡμέρᾳ, hēmera G2250 ; but not only G3440 to me , but also καὶ kai G2532 to all who love G25 his appearing ἐπιφάνειαν epiphaneian G2015 . 9 Use diligence to come ἐλθεῖν elthein G2064 to me quickly ; 10 for Demas Δημᾶς Dēmas G1214 has forsaken G1459 me , having loved G25 the present νῦν nun G3568 age αἰῶνα aiōna G165 , and is gone G4198 to Thessalonica Θεσσαλονίκην· Thessalonikēn G2332 ; Crescens to Galatia Γαλατίαν, Galatian G1053 , Titus Τίτος Titos G5103 to Dalmatia . 13 The cloak which I left behind [me] in Troas Τρῳάδι Trōadi G5174 at Carpus's, bring φέρε phere G5342 when thou comest, and the books βιβλία biblia G975 , especially μάλιστα malista G3122 the parchments . 16 At my first πρώτῃ prōtē G4413 defence no man stood with me , but all deserted ἐγκατέλιπον· egkatelipon G1459 me .
