Genesis 40:5-14
5bothH8147 of these menH376—the EgyptianH4714 king’sH4428 cupbearerH4945 and bakerH644, whoH834 were being heldH631 in the prisonH1004H5470—had a dreamH2492H2472 on the sameH259H376 nightH3915, and each dreamH2472 had its own meaningH6623.
6When JosephH3130 cameH935 to themH413 in the morningH1242, he sawH7200 that they were distraughtH2196. 7So he askedH7592 the officialsH5631 of PharaohH6547 whoH834 were in custodyH4929 with himH854 in his master’sH113H559 houseH1004, “WhyH4069 are your facesH6440 so downcastH7451 todayH3117?”
8“We both had dreamsH2472H2492,” they repliedH559H413, “but there is no oneH369 to interpret themH6622.”
Then JosephH3130 saidH559 to themH413, “Don’tH3808 interpretationsH6623 belong to GodH430? Tell me your dreamsH5608H4994.”
9So the chiefH8269 cupbearerH4945 toldH5608 JosephH3130 his dreamH2472H559: “In my dreamH2472 thereH2009 was a vineH1612 before meH6440, 10and on the vineH1612 were threeH7969 branchesH8299. As itH1931 buddedH6524, its blossomsH5322 openedH5927 and its clustersH811 ripenedH1310 into grapesH6025. 11Pharaoh’sH6547 cupH3563 was in my handH3027, and I tookH3947 the grapesH6025, squeezedH7818 themH853 intoH413 his cupH3563, and placedH5414 the cupH3563 inH5921 his handH3709.”
12JosephH3130 repliedH559, “ThisH2088 is the interpretationH6623: The threeH7969 branchesH8299 are threeH7969 daysH3117H1992. 13WithinH5750 threeH7969 daysH3117 PharaohH6547 will lift upH5375 your headH7218 and restoreH7725 yourH5921 positionH3653. You will putH5414 Pharaoh’sH6547 cupH3563 in his handH3027, just asH4639 you didH7223 whenH834 you wereH1961 his cupbearerH4945. 14ButH3588H518 whenH834 it goes wellH3190 for you, pleaseH4994 rememberH2142 meH854 and showH6213 meH5978 kindnessH2617 by mentioning meH2142 toH413 PharaohH6547, that he might bring me outH3318 ofH4480 thisH2088 prisonH1004.
