5bothשְׁנֵיהֶ֜םshe.nei.HemH8147of these menאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376—the Egyptianמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714אֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834king’sלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקֶ֣הha.mash.KehH4945and bakerוְהָאֹפֶ֗הve.ha.'o.PehH644,whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834were being heldאֲסוּרִ֖ים'a.su.RimH631in the prisonבְּבֵ֥ית הַסֹּֽהַר׃be.Veit ha.So.harH1004 H5470—had a dreamוַיַּֽחַלְמוּ֩vai.ya.chal.MuH2492 H2472on the sameאֶחָ֔ד אִ֖ישׁ'e.Chad 'ishH259 H376nightבְּלַ֣יְלָהbe.Lay.lahH3915,and each dreamH2472had its own meaningכְּפִתְר֣וֹןke.fit.RonH6623.

6When Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130cameוַיָּבֹ֧אvai.ya.Vo'H935to themאֲלֵיהֶ֛ם'a.lei.HemH413in the morningבַּבֹּ֑קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242,he sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200אֹתָ֔ם'o.TamH853וְהִנָּ֖םve.hi.NamH2005that they were distraughtזֹעֲפִֽים׃zo.'a.FimH2196.

7So he askedוַיִּשְׁאַ֞לvai.yish.'AlH7592אֶת־'et-H853the officialsסְרִיסֵ֣יse.ri.SeiH5631of Pharaohפַרְעֹ֗הfar.'OhH6547whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834were in custodyבְמִשְׁמַ֛רve.mish.MarH4929with himאִתּ֧וֹ'i.ToH854in his master’sאֲדֹנָ֖יו לֵאמֹ֑ר'a.do.Nav le.MorH113 H559houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004, “Whyמַדּ֛וּעַma.Du.a'H4069are your facesפְּנֵיכֶ֥םpe.nei.KhemH6440so downcastרָעִ֖יםra.'ImH7451todayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117?”

8“We both had dreamsחֲל֣וֹם חָלַ֔מְנוּcha.Lom cha.Lam.nuH2472 H2492,”they repliedוַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יוvai.yo.me.Ru 'e.LavH559 H413, “but there is no oneאֵ֣ין'einH369אֹת֑וֹ'o.ToH853to interpret themוּפֹתֵ֖רu.fo.TerH6622.”Then Josephיוֹסֵ֗ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to themאֲלֵהֶ֜ם'a.le.HemH413, “Don’tהֲל֤וֹאha.Lo'H3808interpretationsפִּתְרֹנִ֔יםpit.ro.NimH6623belong to Godלֵֽאלֹהִים֙le.lo.HimH430?Tell me your dreamsסַפְּרוּ־ נָ֖אsa.pe.ru- na'H5608 H4994.”

9So the chiefשַֽׂר־sar-H8269cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקִ֛יםha.mash.KimH4945אֶת־'et-H853toldוַיְסַפֵּ֧רvay.sa.PerH5608Josephלְיוֹסֵ֑ףle.yo.SefH3130his dreamחֲלֹמ֖וֹ וַיֹּ֣אמֶרcha.lo.Mo vai.Yo.merH2472 H559: “In my dreamבַּחֲלוֹמִ֕יba.cha.lo.MiH2472thereוְהִנֵּה־ve.hi.neh-H2009was a vineגֶ֖פֶןGe.fenH1612before meלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440,

10and on the vineוּבַגֶּ֖פֶןu.va.Ge.fenH1612were threeשְׁלֹשָׁ֣הshe.lo.ShahH7969branchesשָׂרִיגִ֑םsa.ri.GimH8299.As itוְהִ֤יאve.Hi'H1931buddedכְפֹרַ֙חַת֙khe.fo.Ra.chatH6524,its blossomsנִצָּ֔הּni.TzahH5322openedעָלְתָ֣ה'al.TahH5927and its clustersאַשְׁכְּלֹתֶ֖יהָ'ash.ke.lo.Tei.haH811ripenedהִבְשִׁ֥ילוּhiv.Shi.luH1310into grapesעֲנָבִֽים׃'a.na.VimH6025.
