Genesis 35:1-15
1And GodH430 saidH559 unto JacobH3290, AriseH6965, goH5927 up to Beth-el, and dwellH3427 there: and makeH6213 there an altarH4196 unto GodH430, who appearedH7200 unto thee when thou fleddest from the faceH6440 of EsauH6215 thy brotherH251. 2Then JacobH3290 saidH559 unto his householdH1004, and to all that were with him, Put awayH5493 the foreign godsH430 that are among you, and purifyH2891 yourselves, and changeH2498 your garmentsH8071: 3and let us ariseH6965, and goH1980 up to Beth-el; and I will makeH6213 there an altarH4196 unto GodH410, who answeredH6030 me in the dayH3117 of my distressH6869, and wasH1961 with me in the wayH1870 which I wentH1980. 4And they gaveH5414 unto JacobH3290 all the foreign godsH430 which were in their handH3027, and the ringsH5141 which were in their earsH241; and JacobH3290 hidH2934 them under the oakH424 which was by ShechemH7927. 5And they journeyed: and a terror of GodH430 wasH1961 upon the citiesH5892 that were roundH5439 about them, and they did not pursueH7291 after the sonsH1121 of JacobH3290. 6So JacobH3290 cameH935 to LuzH3870, which is in the landH776 of CanaanH3667 (the same is Beth-el), he and all the peopleH5971 that were with him. 7And he builtH1129 there an altarH4196, and calledH7121 the placeH4725 El-beth-el; because there GodH430 was revealedH1540 unto him, when he fledH1272 from the faceH6440 of his brotherH251. 8And DeborahH1683 Rebekah’s nurse diedH4191, and she was buriedH6912 below Beth-el under the oakH437: and the nameH8034 of it was calledH7121 Allon-bacuth.
9And GodH430 appearedH7200 unto JacobH3290 againH5750, when he cameH935 from Paddan-aram, and blessedH1288 him. 10And GodH430 saidH559 unto him, Thy nameH8034 is JacobH3290: thy nameH8034 shall not beH1961 calledH7121 any more JacobH3290, but IsraelH3478 shall beH1961 thy nameH8034: and he calledH7121 his nameH8034 IsraelH3478. 11And GodH430 saidH559 unto him, I am GodH430 AlmightyH7706: beH1961 fruitfulH6509 and multiplyH7235; a nationH1471 and a companyH6951 of nationsH1471 shall beH1961 of thee, and kingsH4428 shall come out of thy loinsH2504; 12and the landH776 which I gaveH5414 unto AbrahamH85 and IsaacH3327, to thee I will giveH5414 it, and to thy seedH2233 after thee will I giveH5414 the landH776. 13And GodH430 wentH5927 up from him in the placeH4725 whereH834 he spake with him. 14And JacobH3290 setH5324 up a pillarH4676 in the placeH4725 whereH834 he spake with him, a pillarH4676 of stoneH68: and he pouredH3332 out a drink-offering thereon, and pouredH3332 oilH8081 thereon. 15And JacobH3290 calledH7121 the nameH8034 of the placeH4725 whereH834 GodH430 spake with him, Beth-el.
