Ezekiel 16:44-52
44Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, sayingH559, As is the motherH517, so is her daughterH1323. 45Thou art the daughterH1323 of thy motherH517, that loatheth her husbandH376 and her children; and thou art the sisterH269 of thy sistersH269, who loathed their husbandsH376 and their children: your motherH517 was a HittiteH2850, and your fatherH1 an AmoriteH567. 46And thine elder sisterH269 is SamariaH8111, that dwelleth at thy left handH3225, she and her daughtersH1323; and thy youngerH6996 sisterH269, that dwelleth at thy rightH3225 handH3225, is SodomH5467 and her daughtersH1323. 47Yet hast thou not walkedH1980 in their waysH1870, nor done after their abominationsH8441; but, as if that were a very littleH4592 thingH8441, thou wast more corruptH7843 than they in all thy waysH1870. 48As I live, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, SodomH5467 thy sisterH269 hath not done, she nor her daughtersH1323, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughtersH1323. 49Behold, this wasH1961 the iniquityH5771 of thy sisterH269 SodomH5467: prideH1347, fulness of breadH3899, and prosperous easeH7962 wasH1961 in her and in her daughtersH1323; neither did she strengthenH2388 the handH3027 of the poorH6041 and needyH34. 50And they were haughty, and committed abominationH8441 before me: therefore I took them awayH5493 as I sawH7200 good. 51Neither hath SamariaH8111 committed halfH2677 of thy sinsH2398; but thou hast multipliedH7235 thine abominationsH8441 more than they, and hast justifiedH6663 thy sistersH269 by all thine abominationsH8441 which thou hast done. 52Thou alsoH1571, bearH5375 thou thine own shameH954, in that thou hast given judgment for thy sistersH269; through thy sinsH2403 that thou hast committed moreH4480 abominable than they, they are moreH4480 righteousH6663 than thou: yea, be thou alsoH1571 confounded, and bearH5375 thy shameH954, in that thou hast justifiedH6663 thy sistersH269.
