Deuteronomy 8:7-18
7For Jehovah thy GodH430 bringeth thee into a goodH2896 landH776, a landH776 of brooks of waterH4325, of fountains and springs, flowing forthH3318 in valleysH1237 and hillsH2022; 8a landH776 of wheatH2406 and barleyH8184, and vinesH1612 and fig-trees and pomegranatesH7416; a landH776 of olive-trees and honeyH1706; 9a landH776 wherein thou shalt eatH398 breadH3899 without scarceness, thou shalt not lackH2637 anything in it; a landH776 whose stonesH68 are ironH1270, and out of whose hillsH2042 thou mayest digH2672 copperH5178. 10And thou shalt eatH398 and be full, and thou shalt blessH1288 Jehovah thy GodH430 for the goodH2896 landH776 which he hath givenH5414 thee.
11Beware lestH6435 thou forgetH7911 Jehovah thy GodH430, in not keepingH8104 his commandmentsH4687, and his ordinancesH4941, and his statutesH2708, which I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117: 12lestH6435, when thou hast eatenH398 and art full, and hast builtH1129 goodly housesH1004, and dweltH3427 therein; 13and whenH834 thy herdsH1241 and thy flocksH6629 multiplyH7235, and thy silverH3701 and thy goldH2091 is multipliedH7235, and all that thou hast is multipliedH7235; 14then thy heartH3824 be liftedH7311 up, and thou forgetH7911 Jehovah thy GodH430, who broughtH3318 thee forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, out of the houseH1004 of bondage; 15who led thee through the greatH1419 and terrible wildernessH4057, wherein were fiery serpents and scorpionsH6137, and thirstyH6774 groundH6774 whereH834 was no waterH4325; who broughtH3318 thee forthH3318 waterH4325 out of the rockH6697 of flintH2496; 16who fed thee in the wildernessH4057 with mannaH4478, which thy fathersH1 knewH3045 not; that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee goodH3190 at thy latterH319 endH319: 17and lest thou sayH559 in thy heartH3824, My power and the might of my handH3027 hath gotten me this wealthH2428. 18But thou shalt rememberH2142 Jehovah thy GodH430, for it is he that giveth thee powerH3581 to get wealthH2428; that he may establishH6965 his covenantH1285 which he sware unto thy fathersH1, as at this dayH3117.
