Deuteronomy 32:15-30
15But JeshurunH3484 waxed fatH8080, and kicked:Thou art waxed fatH8080, thou art grown thickH5666, thou art become sleek; Then he forsook GodH433 who madeH6213 him,And lightly esteemed the RockH6697 of his salvationH3444.16They moved him to jealousy with strangeH2114 gods; With abominationsH8441 provokedH3707 they him to angerH3707.17They sacrificedH2076 unto demonsH7700, which were no GodH430,To godsH430 that they knewH3045 not,To newH2319godsH430that cameH935 up of late,Which your fathersH1 dreaded not.18Of the RockH6697 that begat thee thou art unmindful,And hast forgottenH7911 GodH410 that gaveH3205 thee birthH3205.19And Jehovah sawH7200it, and abhorred them,Because of the provocation of his sonsH1121 and his daughtersH1323.20And he saidH559, I will hideH5641 my faceH6440 from them,I will seeH7200 what their endH319 shall be:For they are a very perverseH8419 generationH1755,ChildrenH1121 in whom is no faithfulness.21They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not GodH410;They have provokedH3707 me to angerH3707 with their vanitiesH1892:And I will move them to jealousy with those that are not a peopleH5971;I will provokeH3707 them to angerH3707 with a foolishH5036 nationH1471.22For a fireH784 is kindled in mine angerH639,And burneth unto the lowest SheolH7585,And devoureth the earthH776 with its increase,And setteth on fireH784 the foundationsH4146 of the mountainsH2022.23I will heap evils upon them;I will spend mine arrowsH2671 upon them:24They shall bewasted with hungerH7458, and devoured with burning heatAnd bitter destructionH6986;And the teethH8127 of beasts will I sendH7971 upon them,With the poison of crawling things of the dustH6083.25Without shall the swordH2719 bereaveH7921,And in the chambersH2315 terrorH367;It shall destroyboth youngH970 manH376 and virginH1330,The suckling with the manH376 of grayH7872 hairsH7872.26I saidH559, I would scatter them afar,I would make the remembranceH2143 of them to ceaseH7673 from among men;27Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemyH341,LestH6435 their adversaries should judge amiss,LestH6435 they should sayH559, Our handH3027 is exaltedH7311,And Jehovah hath not done all this.28For they are a nationH1471 void of counselH6098,And there is no understandingH8394 in them.29Oh that they were wiseH2449, that they understoodH995 this,That they would considerH995 their latterH319 endH319!30HowH349 should oneH259 chase a thousandH505,And twoH8147 put tenH7233 thousandH505 to flight,Except their RockH6697 had soldH4376 them,And Jehovah had deliveredH5462 them up?
