Deuteronomy 28:13-44

13And Jehovah will makeH5414 thee the headH7218, and not the tailH2180; and thou shalt beH1961 above onlyH7535, and thou shalt not beH1961 beneath; if thou shalt hearken unto the commandmentsH4687 of Jehovah thy GodH430, which I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117, to observeH8104 and to do them, 14and shalt not turnH5493 asideH5493 from any of the wordsH1697 which I commandH6680 you this dayH3117, to the rightH3225 handH3225, or to the left, to go after otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 them.

15But it shall comeH935 to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voiceH6963 of Jehovah thy GodH430, to observeH8104 to do all his commandmentsH4687 and his statutesH2708 which I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117, that all these cursesH7045 shall comeH935 upon thee, and overtakeH5381 thee. 16CursedH779 shalt thou be in the cityH5892, and cursedH779 shalt thou be in the fieldH7704. 17CursedH779 shall be thy basketH2935 and thy kneading-trough. 18CursedH779 shall be the fruitH6529 of thy body, and the fruitH6529 of thy groundH127, the increase of thy cattle, and the youngH6251 of thy flockH6629. 19CursedH779 shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursedH779 shalt thou be when thou goest out.

20Jehovah will sendH7971 upon thee cursing, discomfiture, and rebuke, in all that thou puttest thy handH3027 unto to do, until thou be destroyedH8045, and until thou perishH6 quicklyH4118; because of the evil of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. 21Jehovah will makeH3615 the pestilenceH1698 cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the landH127, whither thou goest in to possessH3423 it. 22Jehovah will smite thee with consumptionH7829, and with feverH6920, and with inflammation, and with fiery heat, and with the swordH2719, and with blasting, and with mildewH3420; and they shall pursueH7291 thee until thou perishH6. 23And thy heavenH8064 that is over thy headH7218 shall beH1961 brass, and the earthH776 that is under thee shall beH1961 ironH1270. 24Jehovah will makeH5414 the rainH4306 of thy landH776 powder and dustH6083: from heavenH8064 shall it comeH3381 down upon thee, until thou be destroyedH8045.

25Jehovah will cause thee to beH1961 smitten before thine enemiesH341; thou shalt goH3318 out oneH259 wayH1870 against them, and shalt fleeH5127 sevenH7651 waysH1870 before them: and thou shalt beH1961 tossed to and from among all the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776. 26And thy dead body shall beH1961 foodH3978 unto all birdsH5775 of the heavensH8064, and unto the beasts of the earthH776; and there shall beH1961 none to frighten them away. 27Jehovah will smite thee with the boilH7822 of EgyptH4714, and with the emerods, and with the scurvy, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healedH7495. 28Jehovah will smite thee with madnessH7697, and with blindnessH5788, and with astonishment of heartH3824; 29and thou shalt gropeH4959 at noonday, as the blindH5787 gropeth in darknessH653, and thou shalt not prosperH6743 in thy waysH1870: and thou shalt beH1961 onlyH389 oppressedH6231 and robbedH1497 alway, and there shall beH1961 none to saveH3467 thee. 30Thou shalt betrothH781 a wifeH802, and another manH376 shall lie with her: thou shalt buildH1129 a houseH1004, and thou shalt not dwellH3427 therein: thou shalt plantH5193 a vineyardH3754, and shalt not use the fruit thereof. 31Thine oxH7794 shall be slain before thine eyesH5869, and thou shalt not eatH398 thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken awayH7725 from before thy faceH6440, and shall not be restoredH7725 to thee: thy sheepH6629 shall be givenH5414 unto thine enemiesH341, and thou shalt have none to saveH3467 thee. 32Thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323 shall be givenH5414 unto another peopleH5971; and thine eyesH5869 shall lookH7200, and fail with longing for them all the dayH3117: and there shall be nought in the power of thy handH3027. 33The fruitH6529 of thy groundH127, and all thy labors, shall a nation which thou knowest not eatH398 up; and thou shalt beH1961 onlyH7535 oppressedH6231 and crushedH7533 alway; 34so that thou shalt beH1961 madH7696 for the sight of thine eyesH5869 which thou shalt seeH7200. 35Jehovah will smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boilH7822, whereof thou canst not be healedH7495, from the soleH3709 of thy footH7272 unto the crown of thy head.

36Jehovah will bring thee, and thy kingH4428 whom thou shalt setH6965 over thee, unto a nationH1471 that thou hast not knownH3045, thou nor thy fathersH1; and there shalt thou serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430, woodH6086 and stoneH68. 37And thou shalt becomeH1961 an astonishment, a proverbH4912, and a bywordH4912, among all the peoplesH5971 whither Jehovah shall lead thee away. 38Thou shalt carry muchH7227 seedH2233 out into the fieldH7704, and shalt gatherH622 littleH4592 in; for the locustH697 shall consume it. 39Thou shalt plantH5193 vineyardsH3754 and dress them, but thou shalt neither drinkH8354 of the wineH3196, nor gatherH103 the grapes; for the worm shall eatH398 them. 40Thou shalt have olive-trees throughout all thy bordersH1366, but thou shalt not anointH5480 thyself with the oilH8081; for thine oliveH2132 shall cast its fruit. 41Thou shalt beget sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323, but they shall not beH1961 thine; for they shall go into captivityH7628. 42All thy treesH6086 and the fruitH6529 of thy groundH127 shall the locust possessH3423. 43The sojournerH1616 that is in the midstH7130 of thee shall mount up above thee higher and higher; and thou shalt comeH5927 down lower and lower. 44He shall lendH3867 to thee, and thou shalt not lendH3867 to him: he shall beH1961 the headH7218, and thou shalt beH1961 the tailH2180.
