Deuteronomy 20:10-15
10When thou drawest nigh unto a cityH5892 to fightH3898 against it, then proclaimH7121 peaceH7965 unto it. 11And it shall beH1961, if it make thee answerH6030 of peaceH7965, and openH6605 unto thee, then it shall beH1961, that all the peopleH5971 that areH1961 foundH4672 therein shall becomeH1961 tributary unto thee, and shall serveH5647 thee. 12And if it will makeH6213 no peace with thee, but will makeH6213 warH4421 against thee, then thou shalt besiege it: 13and when Jehovah thy GodH430 delivereth it into thy handH3027, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the swordH2719: 14but the womenH802, and the littleH2945 onesH2945, and the cattleH929, and all that is in the cityH5892, even all the spoilH7998 thereof, shalt thou takeH962 for a prey unto thyself; and thou shalt eatH398 the spoilH7998 of thine enemiesH341, which Jehovah thy GodH430 hath givenH5414 thee. 15ThusH3651 shalt thou do unto all the citiesH5892 which are veryH3966 farH7350 off from thee, which are not of the citiesH5892 of these nationsH1471.
