34They did notdestroyהִ֭שְׁמִידוּHish.mi.duH8045thenationsהָֽעַמִּ֑יםha.'a.MimH5971, concerning whom theLORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068commandedאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559them:

35But weremingledוַיִּתְעָרְב֥וּvai.yit.'a.re.VuH6148among theheathenבַגּוֹיִ֑םva.go.YimH1471, andlearnedוַֽ֝יִּלְמְד֗וּvai.yil.me.DuH3925theirworksמַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃Ma.'a.sei.HemH4639.

36And theyservedוַיַּעַבְד֥וּvai.ya.'av.DuH5647theiridolsעֲצַבֵּיהֶ֑ם'a.tza.bei.HemH6091: which were asnareלְמוֹקֵֽשׁ׃le.mo.KeshH4170to them.

37Yea, theysacrificedוַיִּזְבְּח֣וּvai.yiz.be.ChuH2076theirsonsבְּ֭נֵיהֶםBe.nei.hemH1121and theirdaughtersבְּנֽוֹתֵיהֶ֗םbe.no.tei.HemH1323todemonsלַשֵּֽׁדִים׃la.She.dimH7700,

38Andshedוַיִּֽשְׁפְּכ֨וּvai.yish.pe.KhuH8210innocentנָקִ֡יna.KiH5355bloodדָ֪םdamH1818, even thebloodדַּם־dam-H1818of theirsonsבְּנֵ֘יהֶ֤םbe.Nei.HemH1121and of theirdaughtersוּֽבְנוֹתֵיהֶ֗םu.ve.no.tei.HemH1323, whom theysacrificedזִ֭בְּחוּZi.be.chuH2076to theidolsלַעֲצַבֵּ֣יla.'a.tza.BeiH6091ofCanaanכְנָ֑עַןkhe.Na.'anH3667: and thelandהָ֝אָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776waspollutedוַתֶּחֱנַ֥ףva.te.che.NafH2610withbloodבַּדָּמִֽים׃ba.da.MimH1818.

39Thus were theydefiledוַיִּטְמְא֥וּvai.yit.me.'UH2930with their ownworksבְמַעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑םve.ma.'a.sei.HemH4639, and wentastrayוַ֝יִּזְנוּ֗vai.yiZ.nuH2181with their owndeedsבְּמַֽעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃be.Ma.'a.lei.HemH4611.

40Therefore was thewrathאַ֣ף'afH639of theLORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068kindledוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against hispeopleבְּעַמּ֑וֹbe.'a.MoH5971, insomuch that heabhorredוַ֝יְתָעֵ֗בvay.ta.'EvH8581his owninheritanceנַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃na.cha.la.ToH5159.

41And hegaveוַיִּתְּנֵ֥םvai.yi.te.NemH5414them into thehandבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of theheathenגּוֹיִ֑םgo.YimH1471; and they thathatedשֹׂנְאֵיהֶֽם׃so.ne.'ei.HemH8130themruledוַֽיִּמְשְׁל֥וּvai.yim.she.LuH4910over them.

42Theirenemiesאוֹיְבֵיהֶ֑ם'oy.vei.HemH341alsooppressedוַיִּלְחָצ֥וּםvai.yil.cha.TzumH3905them, and they were brought intosubjectionוַ֝יִּכָּנְע֗וּvai.yi.ka.ne.'UH3665under theirhandיָדָֽם׃ya.DamH3027.

43Manyרַבּ֗וֹתra.BotH7227timesפְּעָמִ֥יםpe.'a.MimH6471did hedeliverיַצִּ֫ילֵ֥םya.Tzi.LemH5337them; but theyprovokedיַמְר֣וּyam.RuH4784him with theircounselבַעֲצָתָ֑םva.'a.tza.TamH6098, and were broughtlowוַ֝יָּמֹ֗כּוּvai.ya.Mo.kuH4355for theiriniquityבַּעֲוֹנָֽם׃ba.'a.vo.NamH5771.

44Nevertheless heregardedוַ֭יַּרְאVai.yar'H7200theirafflictionבַּצַּ֣רba.TzarH6862, when heheardבְּ֝שָׁמְע֗וֹbe.sha.me.'OH8085theircryרִנָּתָֽם׃ri.na.TamH7440:

45And herememberedוַיִּזְכֹּ֣רvai.yiz.KorH2142for them hiscovenantבְּרִית֑וֹbe.ri.ToH1285, andrepentedוַ֝יִּנָּחֵ֗םvai.yi.na.ChemH5162according to themultitudeכְּרֹ֣בke.RoH7230of hismerciesחֲסָדָֽיו׃cha.sa.DavH2617.
