4and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to him, ‘Takeהִשָּׁמֵ֨רhi.sha.MerH8104careH8104and beH8252calmH8252,haveH3372noH408fearH3372anddo not be faintheartedוּלְבָבְךָ֙ יֵרַ֔ךְu.le.va.ve.Kha ye.RakhH7401 H3824becauseH4480of theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428twoמִשְּׁנֵ֨יmi.she.NeiH8147stumpsזַנְב֧וֹתzan.VotH2180of smolderingהָעֲשֵׁנִ֖יםha.'a.she.NimH6226logsהָאוּדִ֛יםha.'u.DimH181,on account of the fierceבָּחֳרִי־bo.cho.ri-H2750angerאַ֛ף'afH639of Rezinרְצִ֥יןre.TzinH7526and Aramוַאֲרָ֖םva.'a.RamH758and thesonוּבֶן־u.ven-H1121of Remaliahרְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃re.mal.Ya.huH7425.

5Becauseיַ֗עַן כִּֽי־Ya.'an ki-H3282 H3588Aramאֲרָ֖ם'a.RamH758, withEphraimאֶפְרַ֥יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669and the sonוּבֶן־u.ven-H1121of Remaliahרְמַלְיָ֖הוּre.mal.Ya.huH7425,has plannedיָעַ֥ץya.'AtzH3289evilH7463againstעָלֶ֛יךָ'a.Lei.khaH5921you, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

6“Let’s goנַעֲלֶ֤הna.'a.LehH5927upH5927against Judahבִֽיהוּדָה֙vi.hu.DahH3063andterrorizeוּנְקִיצֶ֔נָּהu.ne.ki.Tze.nahH6973it, and takeH1234it for ourselves byH1234assaultH1234and setH4427upH4427the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Tabeelטָֽבְאַֽל׃ סTa.ve.'AlH2870as kingמֶ֙לֶךְ֙Me.lekhH4428in the midstבְּתוֹכָ֔הּbe.to.KhahH8432of it,”

8For the headרֹ֤אשׁroshH7218of Aramאֲרָם֙'a.RamH758isDamascusדַּמֶּ֔שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834,and the headוְרֹ֥אשׁve.RoshH7218of Damascusדַּמֶּ֖שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834is Rezinרְצִ֑יןre.TzinH7526(now within anotherוּבְע֗וֹדu.ve.'odH5750sixty-fiveשִׁשִּׁ֤ים וְחָמֵשׁ֙shi.Shim ve.cha.MeshH8346 H2568yearsשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141Ephraimאֶפְרַ֖יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669will beH2865brokenH2865toH2865piecesH2865, so that it isnoH4480longer a peopleמֵעָֽם׃me.'AmH5971),

9and the headוְרֹ֤אשׁve.RoshH7218of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֙יִם֙'ef.Ra.yimH669is Samariaשֹׁמְר֔וֹןsho.me.RonH8111,and the headוְרֹ֥אשׁve.RoshH7218of Samariaשֹׁמְר֖וֹןsho.me.RonH8111is the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Remaliahרְמַלְיָ֑הוּre.mal.Ya.huH7425.Ifאִ֚ם'imH518you will not believeתַאֲמִ֔ינוּta.'a.Mi.nuH539,you certainlyכִּ֖יkiH3588shall notlastתֵאָמֵֽנוּ׃ סte.'a.Me.nuH539.”’”

10Then the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068spokeדַּבֵּ֥רda.BerH1696againוַיּ֣וֹסֶףvai.Yo.sefH3254to Ahazאָחָ֖ז'a.ChazH271,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

11“Askשְׁאַל־she.'al-H7592for asignא֔וֹת'otH226for yourself from the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430;makeהַעְמֵ֣קha'.MekH6009itdeepH6009as Sheolשְׁאָ֔לָהshe.'A.lahH7585orא֖וֹ'oH176highהַגְבֵּ֥הַּhag.Be.ahH1361asheavenלְמָֽעְלָה׃le.Ma.'e.lahH4605.”

12But Ahazאָחָ֑ז'a.ChazH271saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I will not askאֶשְׁאַ֥ל'esh.'AlH7592,norH3808will I putאֲנַסֶּ֖ה'a.na.SehH5254the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068toH5254theH5254testH5254!”

13Then he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Listenשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085nowנָ֖אna'H4994,houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732!Is it tooH4480trivialH4592a thingH4592for you totryH3811theH3811patienceH3811of menH376, that you willtryH3811theH3811patienceH3811ofmy Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430asH1571wellH1571?

14Thereforeלָ֠כֵןLa.khenH3651the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Himselfה֛וּאhu'H1931will giveיִתֵּ֨ןyi.TenH5414you a signא֑וֹת'otH226:Beholdהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009, thevirginהָעַלְמָ֗הha.'al.MahH5959will conceiveהָרָה֙ha.RahH2030and giveH3205birthH3205to a sonבֵּ֔ןBenH1121,and she will nameוְקָרָ֥את שְׁמ֖וֹve.ka.Rat she.MoH7121 H8034HimImmanuelH6005.
