Isaiah 40:18-28

181To whomH4310 then will you likenH1819 GodH410? Or whatH4100 likenessH1823 will you compareH6186 with Him?19As for the 23idolH6459, a craftsmanH2796 castsH5258 it, A goldsmithH6884 4platesH7554 it with goldH2091, And a silversmithH6884 fashions chainsH7577 of silverH3701.20He who is too impoverishedH5532 for such an offeringH8641 SelectsH977 a 5treeH6086 that does not rotH7537; He seeksH1245 out for himself a skillfulH2450 craftsmanH2796 To 6prepareH3559 7an idolH6459 that 8will not totterH4131.

219Do you not knowH3045? Have you not heardH8085? Has it not been declaredH5046 to you from the beginningH7218? Have you not understoodH995 10from the foundationsH4144 of the earthH776?22It is He who 11sitsH3427 aboveH5921 the 1213circleH2329 of the earthH776, And its inhabitantsH3427 are like 14grasshoppersH2284, Who 15stretchesH5186 out the heavensH8064 like a 16curtainH1852 And spreadsH4969 them out like a 17tentH168 to dwellH3427 in.23He it is who reducesH5414 18rulersH7336 to nothingH369, Who 19makesH6213 the judgesH8199 of the earthH776 20meaninglessH8414.2421ScarcelyH1077H637 have they been plantedH5193, 22ScarcelyH1077H637 have they been sownH2232, 23ScarcelyH1077H637 has their stockH1503 takenH8327 rootH8327 in the earthH776, But He merelyH1571 blowsH5398 on them, and they witherH3001, And the 24stormH5591 carriesH5375 them away like stubbleH7179.25“25To whomH4310 then will you likenH1819 Me That I would be his equalH7737?” saysH559 the HolyH6918 OneH6918.2626LiftH5375 up your eyesH5869 on highH4791 And seeH7200 27whoH4310 has createdH1254 theseH428 stars, The 28One who leadsH3318 forthH3318 their hostH6635 by numberH4557, He callsH7121 them allH3605 by nameH8034; BecauseH4480 of the 29greatnessH7230 of His mightH202 and the 30strengthH533 of His powerH3581, 31Not oneH376 of them is missingH5737.

2732WhyH4100 do you sayH559, O JacobH3290, and assertH1696, O IsraelH3478, “My wayH1870 is 33hiddenH5641 from the LordH3068, And the 34justiceH4941 due me 35escapesH5674 the noticeH5674 of 36my GodH430”?2837Do you not knowH3045? Have you not heardH8085? The 38EverlastingH5769 GodH430, the LordH3068, the CreatorH1254 of the endsH7098 of the earthH776 Does not becomeH3286 wearyH3286 or tiredH3021. His understandingH8394 is 39inscrutableH369H2714.
