Genesis 48:13-22

13JosephH3130 tookH3947 them bothH8147, EphraimH669 with his rightH3225 handH3225 towardH4480 Israel’sH3478 leftH8040, and ManassehH4519 with his leftH8040 handH8040 towardH4480 Israel’sH3478 rightH3225, and broughtH5066 them closeH5066 to him. 14But IsraelH3478 stretchedH7971 out his rightH3225 handH3225 and laidH7896 it on the headH7218 of EphraimH669, whoH1931 was the youngerH6810, and his leftH8040 handH8040 on Manasseh’sH4519 headH7218, 1crossingH7919 his handsH3027, 2althoughH3588 3ManassehH4519 was the firstbornH1060. 15He blessedH1288 JosephH3130, and saidH559, “4The GodH430 beforeH6440 whomH834 my fathersH1 AbrahamH85 and IsaacH3327 walkedH1980, 5The GodH430 who has been my shepherdH7462 6allH4480H5750 my lifeH5750 to thisH2088 dayH3117,167The angelH4397 who has redeemedH1350 me from allH3605 evilH7451, 8BlessH1288 the ladsH5288; And may my nameH8034 9liveH7121 on in them, And the 10namesH8034 of my fathersH1 AbrahamH85 and IsaacH3327; And 11may they growH1711 into a multitudeH7230 in the midstH7130 of the earthH776.”

17When JosephH3130 sawH7200 that his fatherH1 12laidH7896 his rightH3225 handH3027 on Ephraim’sH669 headH7218, it displeasedH7489 him; and he graspedH8551 his father’sH1 handH3027 to removeH5493 it from Ephraim’sH669 headH7218 to Manasseh’sH4519 headH7218. 18JosephH3130 saidH559 to his fatherH1, “Not soH3651, my fatherH1, for thisH2088 oneH2088 is the firstbornH1060. PlaceH7760 your rightH3225 handH3225 on his headH7218.” 19But his fatherH1 refusedH3985 and saidH559, “I knowH3045, my sonH1121, I knowH3045; he alsoH1571 will becomeH1961 a peopleH5971 and he alsoH1571 will be greatH1431. HoweverH199, his youngerH6996 brotherH251 shall be greaterH1431 thanH4480 he, and 13his 14descendantsH2233 shall becomeH1961 a 15multitudeH4393 of nationsH1471.” 2016He blessedH1288 them that dayH3117, sayingH559, “By you IsraelH3478 will pronounceH1288 blessingH1288, sayingH559, ‘May GodH430 makeH7760 you like EphraimH669 and ManassehH4519!’” Thus he putH7760 EphraimH669 beforeH6440 ManassehH4519. 21Then IsraelH3478 saidH559 to JosephH3130, “BeholdH2009, I am about to dieH4191, but 17GodH430 will be with you, and 18bringH7725 you backH7725 to the landH776 of your fathersH1. 22I giveH5414 you oneH259 19portionH7926 moreH5921 thanH5921 your brothersH251, 20whichH834 I tookH3947 from the handH3027 of the AmoriteH567 with my swordH2719 and my bowH7198.”
