Genesis 44:2-17

2PutH7760 my cupH1375, the silverH3701 cupH1375, in the mouthH6310 of the sackH572 of the youngestH6996, and his moneyH3701 for the grainH7668.” And he didH6213 1as JosephH3130 had toldH1696 him. 32As soonH1242 as it was lightH215, the menH376 were sentH7971 awayH7971, they with their donkeysH2543. 4They had just goneH3318 out of 3the cityH5892, and were not farH7368 off, when JosephH3130 saidH559 to his houseH1004 stewardH834H5921, “Up, followH7291H310 the menH376; and when you overtakeH5381 them, sayH559 to them, ‘WhyH4100 have you repaidH7999 evilH7463 for goodH2899? 5Is not thisH2088 the one from whichH834 my lordH113 drinksH8354 and which he indeedH5172 usesH5172 for 4divinationH5172? You have doneH7489 wrongH7489 in doingH6213 thisH834.’”

6So he overtookH5381 them and spokeH1696 theseH428 wordsH1697 to them. 7They saidH559 to him, “WhyH4100 does my lordH113 speakH1696 such wordsH1697 as theseH428? FarH2486 be it from your servantsH5650 to doH6213 suchH2088 a thingH1697. 8BeholdH2005, 5the moneyH3701 whichH834 we foundH4672 in the mouthH6310 of our sacksH572 we have broughtH7725 backH7725 to you from the landH776 of CanaanH3667. HowH349 then could we stealH1589 silverH3701 orH176 goldH2091 from your lord’sH113 houseH1004? 96With whomeverH834 of your servantsH5650 it is foundH4672, let him dieH4191, and we alsoH1571 will be my lord’sH113 7slavesH5650.” 10So he saidH559, “NowH6258 let it alsoH1571 be according to your wordsH1697; he with whomH834 it is foundH4672 shall be my slaveH5650, and the rest of you shall be innocentH5355.” 11Then they hurriedH4116, eachH376 manH376 loweredH3381 his sackH572 to the groundH776, and eachH376 manH376 openedH6605 his sackH572. 12He searchedH2664, beginningH2490 with the oldestH1419 and endingH3615 with the youngestH6996, and 8the cupH1375 was foundH4672 in Benjamin’sH1144 sackH572. 13Then they 9toreH7167 their clothesH8071, and when eachH376 manH376 loadedH6006 his donkeyH2543, they returnedH7725 to 10the cityH5892.

14When JudahH3063 and his brothersH251 cameH935 to Joseph’sH3130 houseH1004, he was stillH5750 thereH8033, and 11they fellH5307 to the groundH776 beforeH6440 him. 15JosephH3130 saidH559 to them, “WhatH4100 is thisH2088 deedH4639 that you have doneH6213? Do you not knowH3045 that suchH3644 a manH376 as I can indeedH5172 practiceH5172 12divinationH5172?” 16So JudahH3063 saidH559, “WhatH4100 can we sayH559 to my lordH113? WhatH4100 can we speakH1696? And howH4100 can we justifyH6663 ourselves? GodH430 has foundH4672 out the iniquityH5771 of your servantsH5650; beholdH2009, we are my lord’sH113 13slavesH5650, bothH1571 we and the one in whoseH834 14possessionH3027 the cupH1375 has been foundH4672.” 17But he saidH559, “FarH2486 be it from me to doH6213 thisH2088. The manH376 in whoseH834 15possessionH3027 the cupH1375 has been foundH4672, he shall be my slaveH5650; but as for you, goH5927 up in peaceH7965 to your fatherH1.”
