Genesis 29:1-14
1Then JacobH3290 1wentH5375 on his journeyH7272, and cameH1980 to the landH776 of 2the sonsH1121 of the eastH6924. 2He lookedH7200, and 3sawH7200 4a wellH875 in the fieldH7704, and beholdH2009, threeH7969 flocksH5739 of sheepH6629 were lyingH7257 thereH8033 besideH5921 it, for from that wellH875 they wateredH8248 the flocksH5739. Now the stoneH68 on the mouthH6310 of the wellH875 was largeH1419. 3When allH3605 the flocksH5739 were gatheredH622 thereH8033, they would then rollH1556 the stoneH68 from the mouthH6310 of the wellH875 and waterH8248 the sheepH6629, and putH7725 the stoneH68 backH7725 in its placeH4725 on the mouthH6310 of the wellH875.
4JacobH3290 saidH559 to them, “My brothersH251, whereH370 are you from?” And they saidH559, “We are from 5HaranH2771.” 5He saidH559 to them, “Do you knowH3045 LabanH3837 the 6sonH1121 of NahorH5152?” And they saidH559, “We knowH3045 him.” 6And he saidH559 to them, “Is it wellH7965 with him?” And they saidH559, “It is wellH7965, and hereH2009 is 7RachelH7354 his daughterH1323 comingH935 with the sheepH6629.” 7He saidH559, “BeholdH2005, it is stillH5750 highH1419 dayH3117; it is not timeH6256 for the livestockH4735 to be gatheredH622. WaterH8248 the sheepH6629, and goH1980, pastureH7462 them.” 8But they saidH559, “We cannotH3201H3808, untilH5704H834 allH3605 the flocksH5739 are gatheredH622, and they rollH1556 the stoneH68 from the mouthH6310 of the wellH875; then we waterH8248 the sheepH6629.”
9While he was stillH5750 speakingH1696 with them, RachelH7354 cameH935 with her father’sH1 sheepH6629, for she was a shepherdessH7462. 10WhenH3512 JacobH3290 sawH7200 RachelH7354 the daughterH1323 of LabanH3837 his mother’sH517 brotherH251, and the sheepH6629 of LabanH3837 his mother’sH517 brotherH251, JacobH3290 wentH5066 up and rolledH1556 the stoneH68 from the mouthH6310 of the wellH875 and wateredH8248 the flockH6629 of LabanH3837 his mother’sH517 brotherH251. 11Then JacobH3290 8kissedH5401 RachelH7354, and liftedH5375 his voiceH6963 and weptH1058. 12JacobH3290 toldH5046 RachelH7354 that he was a 910relativeH251 of her fatherH1 and that he was Rebekah’sH7259 sonH1121, and 11she ranH7323 and toldH5046 her fatherH1.
13So when 12LabanH3837 heardH8085 the newsH8088 of JacobH3290 his sister’sH269 sonH1121, he ranH7323 to meetH7122 him, and 13embracedH2263 him and kissedH5401 him and broughtH935 him to his houseH1004. Then he relatedH5608 to LabanH3837 allH3605 theseH428 thingsH1697. 14LabanH3837 saidH559 to him, “SurelyH389 you are 14my boneH6106 and my fleshH1320.” And he stayedH3427 with him a monthH2320.
