Genesis 27:5-13
5RebekahH7259 was listeningH8085 while IsaacH3327 spokeH1696 to his sonH1121 EsauH6215. So when EsauH6215 wentH1980 to the fieldH7704 to huntH6679 for gameH6718 to bringH935 home,
61RebekahH7259 saidH559 to her sonH1121 JacobH3290, “BeholdH2009, I heardH8085 your fatherH1 speakH1696 to your brotherH251 EsauH6215, sayingH559,
7‘BringH935 me some gameH6718 and prepareH6213 a savoryH4303 dishH4303 for me, that I may eatH398, and blessH1288 you in the presenceH6440 of the LordH3068 beforeH6440 my deathH4194.’
8NowH6258 therefore, my sonH1121, 2listenH8085 to 3me 4as I commandH6680 you.
9GoH1980 nowH4994 to the flockH6629 and 5bringH3947 me twoH8147 choiceH2896 6youngH1423H5795 goatsH1423H5795 from thereH8033, that I may prepareH6213 them as a savoryH4303 dishH4303 for your fatherH1, suchH3512 as he lovesH157.
10Then you shall bringH935 it to your fatherH1, that he may eatH398, soH5668 that he may blessH1288 you beforeH6440 his deathH4194.”
11JacobH3290 7answeredH559 his motherH517 RebekahH7259, “BeholdH2005, EsauH6215 my brotherH251 is a 8hairyH8163 manH376 and I am a smoothH2509 manH376.
129PerhapsH194 my fatherH1 will feelH4959 me, then I will be as a 10deceiverH8591 in his sightH5869, and I will bringH935 upon myself a curseH7045 and not a blessingH1293.”
13But his motherH517 saidH559 to him, “Your curseH7045 be on me, my sonH1121; onlyH389 11obeyH8085 my voiceH6963, and goH1980, getH3947 them for me.”
