Genesis 24:29-49

29Now RebekahH7259 had a brotherH251 whose nameH8034 was 1LabanH3837; and LabanH3837 ranH7323 outsideH2351 to the manH376 at the springH5871. 30When he sawH7200 the ringH5141 and the braceletsH6781 on his sister’sH269 2wristsH3027, and when he heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of RebekahH7259 his sisterH269, sayingH559, “3ThisH3541 is whatH3541 the manH376 saidH1696 to me,” he wentH935 to the manH376; and beholdH2009, he was standingH5975 by the camelsH1581 at the springH5871. 31And he saidH559, “4ComeH935 in, 5blessedH1288 of the LordH3068! WhyH4100 do you standH5975 outsideH2351 since 6I have preparedH6437 the houseH1004, and a placeH4725 for the camelsH1581?” 32So the manH376 enteredH935 the houseH1004. Then 78Laban unloadedH6605 the camelsH1581, and he gaveH5414 strawH8401 and feedH4554 to the camelsH1581, and waterH4325 to washH7364 his feetH7272 and the feetH7272 of the menH376 whoH834 were with him. 33But when food was setH7760 beforeH6440 him to eatH398, he saidH559, “I will not eatH398 untilH5704H518 I have toldH1696 my businessH1697.” And he saidH559, “SpeakH1696 on.” 34So he saidH559, “I am 9Abraham’sH85 servantH5650. 35The LordH3068 has greatlyH3966 10blessedH1288 my masterH113, so that he has becomeH1431 11richH1431; and He has givenH5414 him 12flocksH6629 and herdsH1241, and silverH3701 and goldH2091, and servantsH5650 and maidsH8198, and camelsH1581 and donkeysH2543. 36Now 13SarahH8283 my master’sH113 wifeH802 boreH3205 a sonH1121 to my masterH113 14in her oldH2209 ageH2209, and 15he has givenH5414 him allH3605 that he has. 3716My masterH113 made me swearH7650, sayingH559, ‘You shall not takeH3947 a wifeH802 for my sonH1121 from the daughtersH1323 of the CanaanitesH3669, in whoseH834 landH776 I 17liveH3427; 38but you shall goH1980 to my father’sH1 houseH1004 and to my relativesH4940, and takeH3947 a wifeH802 for my sonH1121.’ 3918I saidH559 to my masterH113, ‘SupposeH194 the womanH802 does not followH1980H310 me.’ 40He saidH559 to me, ‘19The LordH3068, beforeH6440 whomH834 I have 20walkedH1980, will sendH7971 21His angelH4397 with you to make your journeyH1870 successfulH6743, and you will takeH3947 a wifeH802 for my sonH1121 from my relativesH4940 and from my father’sH1 houseH1004; 4122thenH227 you will be freeH5352 from my oathH423, whenH3588 you comeH935 to my relativesH4940; and ifH518 they do not giveH5414 her to you, you will be freeH5355 from my oathH423.’

42“So 23I cameH935 todayH3117 to the springH5871, and saidH559, ‘O LordH3068, the GodH430 of my masterH113 AbrahamH85, ifH518 nowH4994 You will make my journeyH1870 on whichH834 I goH1980 24successfulH6743; 43beholdH2009, 25I am standingH5324 by the 26springH5871, and may it be that the maidenH5959 who comesH3318 out to drawH7579, and to whom I sayH559, “27PleaseH4994 let me drinkH8248 a littleH4592 waterH4325 from your jarH3537”; 44and she will sayH559 to me, “You drinkH8354, and I will drawH7579 for your camelsH1581 alsoH1571”; let her be the womanH802 whomH834 the LordH3068 has appointedH3198 for my master’sH113 sonH1121.’

45“BeforeH2962 I had finishedH3615 28speakingH1696 in my heartH3820, beholdH2009, 29RebekahH7259 cameH3318 out with her jarH3537 on her shoulderH7926, and wentH3381 downH3381 to the springH5871 and drewH7579, and 30I saidH559 to her, ‘PleaseH4994 let me drinkH8248.’ 46She quicklyH4116 loweredH3381 her jarH3537 from her shoulder, and saidH559, ‘31DrinkH8354, and I will waterH8248 your camelsH1581 alsoH1571’; so I drankH8354, and she wateredH8248 the camelsH1581 alsoH1571. 4732Then I askedH7592 her, and saidH559, ‘WhoseH4310 daughterH1323 are you?’ And she saidH559, ‘The daughterH1323 of BethuelH1328, Nahor’sH5152 sonH1121, whomH834 MilcahH4435 boreH3205 to him’; and I putH7760 the 33ringH5141 on her noseH639, and the braceletsH6781 on her 34wristsH3027. 48And I 35bowedH6915 lowH6915 and worshipedH7812 the LordH3068, and blessedH1288 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of my masterH113 AbrahamH85, 36whoH834 had guidedH5148 me in the rightH571 wayH1870 to takeH3947 the daughterH1323 of my master’sH113 37kinsmanH251 for his sonH1121. 49So nowH6258 ifH518 you are goingH3426 to 3839dealH6213 kindlyH2617 and trulyH571 with my masterH113, tellH5046 me; and ifH518 not, let me knowH5046, that I may turnH6437 to the rightH3225 handH3225 orH176 the leftH8040.”
