AbramH87 saidH559, “O LordH136 1GodH3068, whatH4100 will You giveH5414 me, since I 2amH1980 childlessH6185, and the 3heirH1121H4943 of my houseH1004 is EliezerH461 of DamascusH1834?”
And AbramH87 saidH559, “4SinceH2005 You have givenH5414 noH3808 5offspringH2233 to me, 6oneH1121 7bornH1121 in my houseH1004 is my heirH3423.”
Then beholdH2009, the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 came to him, sayingH559, “ThisH2088 man will not be your heirH3423; 8but one whoH834 will comeH3318 forthH3318 from your own 9bodyH4578, he shall be your heirH3423.”
And He tookH3318 him outsideH2351 and saidH559, “NowH4994 lookH5027 toward the heavensH8064, and 10countH5608 the starsH3556, ifH518 you are ableH3201 to countH5608 them.” And He saidH559 to him, “11SoH3541 shall your 12descendantsH2233 be.”
Then he believedH539 in the LordH3068; and He reckonedH2803 it to him as righteousnessH6666.
