And we 1preachG2097 to you the goodG2097 newsG2097 of 2the promiseG1860 madeG1096 to the fathersG3962,

that GodG2316 has fulfilledG1603 thisG3778 promise 3to our childrenG5043 in that He 4raisedG450 up JesusG2424, as it is alsoG2532 writtenG1125 in the secondG1208 PsalmG5568, ‘5You are My SonG5207; todayG4594 I have begottenG1080 You.’

As for the fact that He 6raisedG450 Him up from the deadG3498, noG3371 longerG3371 to returnG5290 to decayG1312, He has spokenG3004 in thisG3779 wayG3779: ‘7I will giveG1325 you the holyG3741 and 8sureG4103 blessings of DavidG1160.’

ThereforeG1360 He alsoG2532 saysG3004 in anotherG2087 Psalm, ‘9You will not 10allowG1325 Your 11HolyG3741 OneG3741 to 12undergoG3708 decayG1312.’

For 13DavidG1160, after he had 14servedG5256 15the purposeG1012 of GodG2316 in his ownG2398 generationG1074, 16fellG2837 asleepG2837, and was laidG4369 amongG4314 his fathersG3962 and 17underwentG3708 decayG1312;

but He whomG3739 GodG2316 18raisedG1453 did not 19undergoG3708 decayG1312.
