Acts 13:32-37

And we 1preach to you the good news of 2the promise made to the fathers,

that God has fulfilled this promise 3to our children in that He 4raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‘5You are My Son; today I have begotten You.’

As for the fact that He 6raised Him up from the dead, no longer to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: ‘7I will give you the holy and 8sure blessings of David.’

Therefore He also says in another Psalm, ‘9You will not 10allow Your 11Holy One to 12undergo decay.’

For 13David, after he had 14served 15the purpose of God in his own generation, 16fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers and 17underwent decay;

but He whom God 18raised did not 19undergo decay.
