Exodus 24
American Standard Version
1And he saidH559 unto MosesH4872, ComeH5927 up unto Jehovah, thou, and AaronH175, NadabH5070, and AbihuH30, and seventyH7657 of the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478; and worship ye afarH7350 off: 2and MosesH4872 aloneH905 shall comeH5927 near unto Jehovah; but they shall not comeH5927 near; neither shall the peopleH5971 goH5927 up with him. 3And MosesH4872 cameH935 and told the peopleH5971 all the wordsH1697 of Jehovah, and all the ordinancesH4941: and all the peopleH5971 answered with oneH259 voiceH6963, and saidH559, All the wordsH1697 which Jehovah hath spokenH1696 will we do. 4And MosesH4872 wroteH3789 all the wordsH1697 of Jehovah, and roseH7925 up earlyH7925 in the morningH1242, and builded an altarH4196 under the mount, and twelve pillarsH4676, according to the twelve tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478. 5And he sentH7971 youngH5288 menH5288 of the children of IsraelH3478, who offeredH5927 burnt-offerings, and sacrificedH2076 peace-offerings of oxen unto Jehovah. 6And MosesH4872 tookH3947 halfH2677 of the bloodH1818, and putH7760 it in basins; and halfH2677 of the bloodH1818 he sprinkledH2236 on the altarH4196. 7And he tookH3947 the bookH5612 of the covenantH1285, and readH7121 in the audience of the peopleH5971: and they saidH559, All that Jehovah hath spokenH1696 will we do, and be obedient. 8And MosesH4872 tookH3947 the bloodH1818, and sprinkledH2236 it on the peopleH5971, and saidH559, Behold the bloodH1818 of the covenantH1285, which Jehovah hath madeH3772 with you concerning all these wordsH1697.
9Then wentH5927 up MosesH4872, and AaronH175, NadabH5070, and AbihuH30, and seventyH7657 of the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478: 10and they sawH7200 the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; and there was under his feetH7272 as it were a paved workH4639 of sapphireH5601 stone, and as it were the very heavenH8064 for clearness. 11And upon the nobles of the children of IsraelH3478 he laid not his handH3027: and they beheld GodH430, and did eatH398 and drinkH8354.
12And Jehovah saidH559 unto MosesH4872, Come up to me into the mount, and beH1961 there: and I will giveH5414 thee the tables of stoneH68, and the lawH8451 and the commandmentH4687, which I have writtenH3789, that thou mayest teachH3384 them. 13And MosesH4872 roseH6965 up, and JoshuaH3091 his minister: and MosesH4872 wentH5927 up into the mount of GodH430. 14And he saidH559 unto the eldersH2205, Tarry ye hereH2009 for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, AaronH175 and HurH2354 are with you: whosoever hath a cause, let him come near unto them. 15And MosesH4872 wentH5927 up into the mount, and the cloudH6051 coveredH3680 the mount. 16And the gloryH3519 of Jehovah abode upon mount SinaiH5514, and the cloudH6051 coveredH3680 it sixH8337 daysH3117: and the seventhH7637 dayH3117 he calledH7121 unto MosesH4872 out of the midstH8432 of the cloudH6051. 17And the appearanceH4758 of the gloryH3519 of Jehovah was like devouringH398 fireH784 on the topH7218 of the mount in the eyesH5869 of the children of IsraelH3478. 18And MosesH4872 entered into the midstH8432 of the cloudH6051, and wentH935 up into the mount: and MosesH4872 wasH1961 in the mount fortyH705 daysH3117 and fortyH705 nightsH3915.
