Exodus 19:1-16
In the thirdH7992 monthH2320 after the departure of the children of IsraelH3478 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, the same dayH3117 cameH935 they [into] the wildernessH4057 of SinaiH5514:
they departedH5265 from RephidimH7508, and cameH935 [into] the wildernessH4057 of SinaiH5514, and encampedH2583 in the wildernessH4057; and IsraelH3478 encampedH2583 there before the mountainH2022.
And MosesH4872 wentH5927 up to 1GodH430, and Jehovah calledH7121 to him out of the mountainH2022, sayingH559, ThusH3541 shalt thou sayH559 to the houseH1004 of JacobH3290, and tellH5046 the children of IsraelH3478:
Ye have seenH7200 what I have done to the Egyptians, and [how] I have borneH5375 you on eagles' wingsH3671 and broughtH935 you to myself.
And nowH6258, if ye will hearken to my voiceH6963 indeed and keepH8104 my covenantH1285, then shall ye beH1961 my own possessionH5459 out of all the peoplesH5971 — for all the earthH776 is mine —
and ye shall beH1961 to me a kingdomH4467 of priestsH3548, and a holyH6918 nationH1471. These are the wordsH1697 which thou shalt speakH1696 to the children of IsraelH3478.
And MosesH4872 cameH935 and calledH7121 the eldersH2205 of the peopleH5971, and laid before them all these wordsH1697 which Jehovah had commandedH6680 him.
And all the peopleH5971 answered togetherH3162, and saidH559, All that Jehovah has spokenH1696 will we do! And MosesH4872 broughtH7725 the wordsH1697 of the peopleH5971 backH7725 to Jehovah.
And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, Lo, I will comeH935 to thee in the cloud's thick darkness, that the peopleH5971 may hearH8085 when I speakH1696 with thee, and believeH539 thee alsoH1571 for everH5769. And MosesH4872 toldH5046 the wordsH1697 of the peopleH5971 to Jehovah.
And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, Go to the peopleH5971, and hallow them to-day and to-morrow, and let them washH3526 their clothesH8071;
and let them beH1961 ready for the thirdH7992 dayH3117; for on the thirdH7992 dayH3117 Jehovah will come down before the eyesH5869 of all the peopleH5971 on mount SinaiH5514.
And setH1379 bounds roundH5439 about the peopleH5971, sayingH559, TakeH8104 heedH8104 to yourselves, [not] to goH5927 up unto the mountainH2022 nor touchH5060 the borderH7097 of it: whatever toucheth the mountainH2022 shall certainlyH4191 be putH4191 to deathH4191:
not a handH3027 shall touchH5060 it, but it shall certainly be stonedH5619, or shotH3384 through; whether it be a beast or a manH376, it shall not liveH2421. When the long drawnH4900 note of the trumpet soundeth, they shall comeH5927 up to the mountainH2022.
And MosesH4872 cameH3381 downH3381 from the mountainH2022 to the peopleH5971, and hallowed the peopleH5971; and they washedH3526 their clothesH8071.
And he saidH559 to the peopleH5971, BeH1961 ready for the third dayH3117; do not come near [your] wivesH802.
And it came to pass on the thirdH7992 dayH3117, when it wasH1961 morningH1242, that there were thunders and lightningsH1300 and a heavyH3515 cloudH6051 on the mountainH2022, and the soundH6963 of the trumpetH7782 exceeding loud; and the whole peopleH5971 that wasH1961 in the campH4264 trembledH2729.
