Exodus 12:3-30
SpeakH1696 unto all the assemblyH5712 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, On the tenth of this monthH2320 let them takeH3947 themselves each a lambH7716, for a father's houseH1004, a lambH7716 for a houseH1004.
And if the householdH1004 beH1961 too smallH4591 for a lambH7716, let him and his neighbour next unto his houseH1004 takeH3947 [it] according to the number of the soulsH5315; each according to [the measure] of his eating shall ye count for the lambH7716.
Your lambH3532 shall beH1961 without blemish, a yearling maleH2145; ye shall takeH3947 [it] from the sheepH7716, or from the goatsH5795.
And ye shall keepH4931 it until the fourteenth dayH3117 of this monthH2320; and the whole congregationH5712 of the assemblyH6951 of IsraelH3478 shall kill it between the two eveningsH6153.
And they shall takeH3947 of the bloodH1818, and putH5414 [it] on the twoH8147 door-posts and on the lintelH4947 of the housesH1004 in which they eatH398 it.
And they shall eatH398 the fleshH1320 in that nightH3915, roastH6748 with fireH784, and unleavenedH4682 breadH4682; with bitterH4844 [herbsH4844] shall they eatH398 it.
Ye shall eatH398 none of it raw, nor boiledH1310 at all with waterH4325, but roastH6748 with fireH784; its headH7218 with its legsH3767 and with its in-wards.
And ye shall let none of it remainH3498 until the morningH1242; and what remaineth of it until the morningH1242 ye shall burnH8313 with fireH784.
And thusH3602 shall ye eatH398 it: your loinsH4975 shall be girdedH2296, your sandalsH5275 on your feetH7272, and your staffH4731 in your handH3027; and ye shall eatH398 it in hasteH2649; it is Jehovah's passoverH6453.
And I will go through the landH776 of EgyptH4714 in that nightH3915, and smite all the firstbornH1060 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, both manH120 and beast; and against all the 1godsH430 of EgyptH4714 I will execute judgmentH8201: I am Jehovah.
And the bloodH1818 shall beH1961 for you as a signH226 on the housesH1004 in which ye are; and when I seeH7200 the bloodH1818, I will pass over you; and the plagueH5063 shall not beH1961 among you for destructionH4889, when I smite the landH776 of EgyptH4714.
And this dayH3117 shall beH1961 unto you for a memorialH2146; and ye shall celebrateH2287 it [as] a feastH2282 to Jehovah; throughout your generationsH1755 [as] an ordinance for everH5769 shall ye celebrateH2287 it.
SevenH7651 daysH3117 shall ye eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH4682: on the very firstH7223 dayH3117 ye shall put away leavenH7603 out of your housesH1004; for whoever eateth leavenedH2557 breadH4682 from the firstH7223 dayH3117 until the seventhH7637 dayH3117 — that soulH5315 shall be cutH3772 off from IsraelH3478.
And on the firstH7223 dayH3117 ye shall have a holyH6944 convocationH4744, and on the seventhH7637 dayH3117 a holyH6944 convocationH4744: no manner of workH4399 shall beH1961 done on them, save what is eatenH398 by every personH5315 — that onlyH389 shall beH1961 done by you.
And ye shall keepH8104 the [feast of] unleavenedH4682 [breadH4682]; for in this same dayH3117 have I broughtH3318 your hostsH6635 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714; and ye shall keepH8104 this dayH3117 in your generationsH1755 [as] an ordinance for everH5769.
In the firstH7223 [monthH2320], on the fourteenth dayH3117 of the monthH2320, in the eveningH6153, ye shall eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH4682 until the oneH259 and twentieth dayH3117 of the monthH2320 in the eveningH6153.
SevenH7651 daysH3117 shall there be no leavenH7603 foundH4672 in your housesH1004; for whoever eateth what is leavenedH2557 — that soulH5315 shall be cutH3772 off from the assemblyH5712 of IsraelH3478, whether he be a sojournerH1616, or born in the landH776.
Ye shall eatH398 nothing leavenedH2557: in all your dwellingsH4186 shall ye eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH4682.
And MosesH4872 calledH7121 all the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478, and saidH559 to them, Seize and takeH3947 yourselves lambs for your familiesH4940, and kill the passoverH6453.
And takeH3947 a bunch of hyssopH231, and dipH2881 [it] in the bloodH1818 that is in the bason, and smear the lintelH4947 and the twoH8147 door-posts with the bloodH1818 that is in the bason; and none of you shall goH3318 out of the doorH6607 of his houseH1004 until the morningH1242.
And Jehovah will passH5674 through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seesH7200 the bloodH1818 on the lintelH4947, and on the twoH8147 door-posts, Jehovah will passH5674 over the doorH6607, and will not suffer the destroyerH7843 to comeH935 into your housesH1004 to smite [you].
And ye shall observeH8104 this as an ordinance for thee and for thy sonsH1121 for everH5769.
And it shall comeH935 to pass, when ye are comeH935 into the landH776 that Jehovah will giveH5414 you, as he has promised, that ye shall keepH8104 this serviceH5656.
And it shall come to pass, when your children shall sayH559 to you, What mean ye by this serviceH5656?
that ye shall sayH559, It is a sacrificeH2077 of passoverH6453 to Jehovah, who passed over the housesH1004 of the children of IsraelH3478 in EgyptH4714 whenH834 he smote the Egyptians and deliveredH5337 our housesH1004. And the peopleH5971 bowedH7812 their heads and worshipped.
And the children of IsraelH3478 went away, and did as Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872 and AaronH175; soH3651 did they.
And it came to pass that at midnight Jehovah smote all the firstbornH1060 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from the firstbornH1060 of PharaohH6547 who satH3427 on his throneH3678 to the firstbornH1060 of the captive that wasH1961 in the dungeon, and all the firstbornH1060 of cattleH929.
And PharaohH6547 roseH6965 up in the nightH3915, he, and all his bondmen, and all the Egyptians; and there was a greatH1419 cryH6818 in EgyptH4714; for there was not a houseH1004 in which there was not one deadH4191.
