Jeremiah 7:16-28
As for youH859, do notH408 prayH6419 forH1157 theseH2088 peopleH5971, do notH408 offerH5375 a pleaH7440 or petitionH8605 on their behalfH1157, and do notH408 begH6293 Me, forH3588 I will notH369 listenH8085 to youH853. 17Do you notH369 seeH7200 whatH4100 theyH1992 are doingH6213 in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389? 18The sonsH1121 gatherH3950 woodH6086, the fathersH1 lightH1197 the fireH784, and the womenH802 kneadH3888 the doughH1217 to makeH6213 cakesH3561 for the QueenH4446 of HeavenH8064; they pour outH5258 drink offeringsH5262 to otherH312 godsH430 toH4616 provoke Me to angerH3707. 19But am I the OneH1992 they are provokingH3707? declaresH5002 the LORDH3068. Is it notH3808 themselvesH853 they spiteH4616, to their own shameH1322H6440?
ThereforeH3651 this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: BeholdH2009, My angerH639 and My furyH2534 willH5413 be poured out onH413 thisH2088 placeH4725, onH5921 manH120 and beastH929, onH5921 the treesH6086 of the fieldH7704H5921 andH5921 the produceH6529 of the landH127, and it will burnH1197 and notH3808 be extinguishedH3518.
This is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, saysH559: Add your burnt offeringsH5930H3254 toH5921 your other sacrificesH2077 and eatH398 the meat yourselvesH1320! 22ForH3588 whenH3117H3808 I broughtH3318 your fathersH1 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, I did not merelyH3808 command themH1696H854H6680 aboutH5921H1697 burnt offeringsH5930 and sacrificesH2077, 23butH3588H518 this is whatH2088 I commanded themH6680: Obey MeH8085H6963, and I will beH1961 your GodH430, and youH859 will beH1961 My peopleH5971. You must walkH1980 in allH3605 the waysH1870 I have commandedH6680 youH853, so thatH4616 it may go wellH3190 with you.
Yet they did notH3808 listenH8085 orH3808 inclineH5186 their earH241, but they followedH1980 the stubbornH8307 inclinationsH4156 of their own evilH7451 heartsH3820. They wentH1961 backwardH268 and notH3808 forwardH6440. 25FromH4480 the dayH3117 your fathersH1 came outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 untilH5704 thisH2088 dayH3117, I have sentH7971 youH413 allH3605 My servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030H3117 again and againH7925H7971.1 26Yet they would notH3808 listenH8085 to MeH413 or inclineH5186 their earH241, but they stiffenedH7185 their necksH6203 and did more evilH7489 than their fathersH1.
When you tellH1696 themH413 allH3605 theseH428 thingsH1697, they will notH3808 listenH8085 to youH413. When you callH7121 to themH413, they will notH3808 answerH6030. 28Therefore you must sayH559 to themH413, ‘ThisH2088 is the nationH1471 thatH834 would notH3808 listenH8085 to the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 their GodH430 and would notH3808 receiveH3947 correctionH4148. TruthH530 has perishedH6; it has disappearedH3772 from their lipsH6310.
