Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 7:16-28
Therefore prayH6419 notH369 thou for this peopleH5971, neitherH369 liftH5375 upH5375 cryH7440 norH408 prayerH8605 for them, neitherH369 makeH8085 intercession to meH1157: for I will notH369 hearH8085 thee.
Seest thou notH369 whatH4100 they doH6213 in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389?
The childrenH1121 gatherH3950 woodH6086, and the fathersH1 kindleH1197 the fireH784, and the womenH802 kneadH3888 the doughH1217, to makeH6213 cakesH3561 to the queenH4446 of heavenH8064, and to pourH5258 outH853 drink offerings unto otherH312 godsH430, that they may provokeH3707 meH3707 to angerH3707.
Do they provokeH3707 meH6440 to angerH3707? saith the LORDH3068; do they notH3808 provokeH3707 themselvesH1992, to the confusion of their ownH6440 facesH6440?
Therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BeholdH2009, mine angerH639 and my furyH2534 shall be pouredH5413 outH5921 uponH5921 this placeH4725, uponH5921 manH120, and uponH5921 beastH929, and uponH5921 the treesH6086 of the fieldH7704, and uponH5921 the fruitH6529 of the groundH127; and it shall burnH1197, and shall notH3808 be quenchedH3518.
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: AddH5595 your burntH5930 offeringsH3068 unto your sacrificesH2077, and eatH398 ye fleshH1320.
For I spake notH3808 unto your fathersH1, norH3808 commandedH6680 them in the dayH3117 that I broughtH3318 them outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, concerning burntH5930 offeringsH5930 or sacrificesH2077:
but this thingH1697 I commandedH6680 them, sayingH559, Hearken unto my voiceH6963, and I will be your GodH430, and ye shall be my peopleH5971: and walkH1980 ye in allH3605 the wayH1870 that I commandH6680 youH859, that it may be wellH3190 with youH859.
But they hearkened notH3808, norH3808 inclinedH5186 their earH241, but walked in their ownH1961 counselsH4156 and in the stubbornnessH8307 of their evilH7451 heartH3820, and wentH6440 backwardH268 and notH3808 forwardH6440.
SinceH4480 the dayH3117 that your fathersH1 cameH3318 forthH3318 outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 unto this dayH3117, I have sentH7971 unto youH834 allH3605 my servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, dailyH3117 risingH7925 upH7925 earlyH7925 and sendingH7971 them:
yet they hearkened notH3808 unto meH413, norH3808 inclinedH5186 their earH241, but madeH7185 their neckH6203 stiff: they didH3808 worse thanH3808 their fathersH1.
And thou shalt speakH1696 allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697 unto them; but they will notH3808 hearken to thee: thou shalt also callH7121 unto them; but they will notH3808 answerH6030 thee.
And thou shalt sayH559 unto them, This is the nationH1471 that hath notH3808 hearkened to the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 their GodH430, norH3808 receivedH3947 instructionH4148: truthH530 is perishedH6, and is cutH3772 offH3772 from their mouthH6310.
