Jeremiah 31:29-40

29“In thoseH1992 daysH3117, it will noH3808 longerH5750 be saidH559:

‘The fathersH1 have eatenH398 sour grapesH1155,and the teethH8127 of the childrenH1121 are set on edgeH6949.’

30InsteadH3588 H518, eachH376 will dieH4191 for his own iniquityH5771. If anyoneH3605 H120 eatsH398 the sour grapesH1155, his own teethH8127 will be set on edgeH6949.

31BeholdH2009, the daysH3117 are comingH935, declaresH5002 the LORDH3068,when I will makeH3772 a newH2319 covenantH1285withH854 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478and withH854 the houseH1004 of JudahH3063.32It will notH3808 be like the covenantH1285 I madeH3772 withH854 their fathersH1whenH3117 I took themH2388 by the handH3027to lead themH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 —a covenantH1285 theyH1992 brokeH6565 ,though IH595 was a husbandH1166 to them,1”declaresH5002 the LORDH3068.33“ButH3588 thisH2063 is the covenantH1285 I will makeH3772 withH854 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478afterH310 thoseH1992 daysH3117, declaresH5002 the LORDH3068.I will putH5414 My lawH8451 in their mindsH7130and inscribe itH3789 onH5921 their heartsH3820.And I will beH1961 their GodH430,and theyH1992 will beH1961 My peopleH5971.34NoH3808 longerH5750 will each manH376 teachH3925 his neighborH7453 or his brotherH251,sayingH559, ‘KnowH3045 the LORDH3068,’becauseH3588 they will allH3605 knowH3045 MeH853,from the least of themH6996 toH5704 the greatestH1419, declaresH5002 the LORDH3068.ForH3588 I will forgiveH5545 their iniquitiesH5771and will rememberH2142 their sinsH2403 noH3808 moreH5750.”2

35ThusH3541 saysH559 the LORDH3068, who givesH5414 the sunH8121 for lightH216 by dayH3119, who sets in orderH2708 the moonH3394 and starsH3556 for lightH216 by nightH3915, who stirs upH7280 the seaH3220 so that its wavesH1530 roarH1993—the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635 is His nameH8034:

36“Only ifH518 thisH428 fixed orderH2706 departedH4185 from My presenceH6440,declaresH5002 the LORDH3068,would Israel’sH3478 descendantsH2233 everH3605 H3117 ceaseH7673to beH1961 a nationH1471 before MeH6440.”

37This is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 saysH559:

“Only ifH518 the heavensH8064 aboveH4605 could be measuredH4058and the foundationsH4144 of the earthH776 belowH4295 H1571 searched outH2713would IH589 rejectH3988 allH3605 of Israel’sH3478 descendantsH2233because ofH5921 allH3605 they have doneH6213,”declaresH5002 the LORDH3068.

38“The daysH3117 are comingH2009,”3 declaresH5002 the LORDH3068, “when this cityH5892 will be rebuiltH1129 forH3068 Me, from the towerH4026 of HananelH2606 to the CornerH6438 GateH8179. 39The measuringH4060 lineH6961 will once againH5750 stretch outH3318 straightH5048 toH5921 the hillH1389 of GarebH1619 and then turnH5437 toward GoahH1601. 40The wholeH3605 valleyH6010 of the dead bodiesH6297 and ashesH1880, and allH3605 the fieldsH8309 asH5704 far as the KidronH6939 ValleyH5158, toH5704 the cornerH6438 of the HorseH5483 GateH8179 to the eastH4217, will be holyH6944 to the LORDH3068. It will neverH3808 H5769 againH5750 be uprootedH5428 H3808 or demolishedH2040.”
